"Sienna, Mom came to the Kendall family, but I got into trouble. They're going to detain me! You need to find Hayden quickly and figure out a way out of this."

Mrs. Winters had only gotten halfway through her sentence when the police officer glared at her coldly.

"Are you done yet?"

Mrs. Winters was still acting arrogant. "Can't I make a phone call? This is my right."

The officer looked at her. "No one is stopping you from exercising your rights. But considering the crime you've committed, bail is strictly denied. An ordinary detention center isn't even qualified to hold you for insulting a senior state official. Let's go."

Mrs. Winters couldn't even tell if he was being sarcastic or serious.

She was shoved into the back of the police cruiser. Her chauffeur, scared out of his wits, immediately drove to Easton Group to report the incident to Sienna.

When Sienna heard the news, her face instantly darkened.

When her mother called her, she hadn't thought the situation was that serious. The Kendalls were being absolutely ruthless.

Sienna simply didn't have the personal connections or resources to handle this.

The only person she could rely on was Hayden.

The Kendall family wasn't one to be trifled with. When she called the police station to offer bail, they flatly refused her.

Left with no other option, Sienna had to call Hayden.

But getting ahold of him proved difficult. Recently, whenever she called his personal cell phone, it never went through properly.

It was always a cold, automated female voice—either the line was busy or the phone was turned off.

Anxious, Sienna finally decided to call the landline in Hayden's office.

At last, Hayden's deep voice came through the receiver.

"Hayden, my mom is in trouble."

Sienna blurted it out. She hadn't wanted to be so direct, but Hayden wasn't a stranger to her.

He had handled her father, Terrence Winters's messes multiple times. When she was detained last time, even though Hayden hadn't been able to bail her out, she knew he had tried his best.

There was a few seconds of silence on Hayden's end. Sienna began to sob.

"What happened?"

His voice was indifferent, totally ordinary.
