I Forgot I Ever Loved You (Zoe and Hayden) novel Chapter 513

Justice offered a polite smile, stood up straight, and tucked his folder under his arm. "Understood, Ms. Winters. Mr. Thorne said you can contact me whenever you need. He likely won't have time to deal with trivial matters for a while."

Sienna hadn't paid much attention at first, but Justice's words caught her off guard. "Trivial matters?"

Justice pushed up his glasses. "Yes. The Kendall family, one of Thorne Enterprises' partners, is hosting a Presentation Gala for their eldest grandson. Mr. Thorne has arrangements for that. Additionally, Thorne Enterprises just signed several contracts with state-owned enterprises, so he'll be quite busy this month."

Sienna frowned inwardly. What did the Kendall family's gala have to do with Hayden? Easton Group had already ended its partnership with Summit Corporation and had no intention of renewing it. Why would Thorne Enterprises bother picking up a company that Easton had discarded?

And Hayden had deliberately used Justice to relay this information to her.

It felt extremely bizarre.

"I understand. I won't disturb him."

Sienna left.

Once she was gone, Colin slipped back into the office. Justice was still there, sitting on the sofa, sipping coffee.

"Was it really a good idea to tell her that? What if she confronts Mr. Thorne?" Justice thought Colin's move was a bit underhanded. He only played along because Colin had promised to buy him drinks at the bar three times.

"Did Mr. Thorne look like he wanted to talk to her? Besides, you don't owe me a favor; I was speaking on behalf of Grandmother Beatrice. She's the majority shareholder of Thorne Enterprises. Which risk is greater: offending Mr. Thorne, or offending Grandmother Beatrice?"

Justice figured he couldn't afford to cross either of them. But Colin had been Hayden's right-hand man for so long that he practically read his mind. If Colin said it was fine, it couldn't be that bad.

Sienna was too proud to go crying to Hayden anyway. It was a safe bet.
