I Loved You in the Dark Until Someone Loved Me in the Light novel Chapter 130

Every single word out of Hailey's mouth was a blatant flex.

She was showing off how well York treated her, how he was planning to make her Mrs. Foster, and how her future was completely secured.

Gillian actually let out a laugh. "What makes you think I'm the one who refuses to sign the divorce papers?"

Her voice was remarkably cold. "If you're so capable, you should be convincing him to sign the agreement, instead of strutting around here demanding that I divorce him."

"From the very beginning, he's the one who refuses to let this marriage go. If he truly loves you as much as you claim, why won't he divorce me?"

Her tone was freezing and dripping with mockery.

Hailey's face instantly dropped. Her eyes widened in sheer disbelief. "You're just spouting lies! You're obviously the one clinging to him!"

Gillian crossed her arms and stared her down, analyzing her pathetic display.

After a long pause, she spoke. "Fine. Then call your precious York right now. Tell him to bring the divorce papers to the hospital. I will sign them right this second."

Gillian's absolute certainty caught Hailey completely off guard.

The color drained rapidly from her lips. Was York really the one refusing to get a divorce?

"He will divorce you!" Hailey screamed, her eyes red as she turned and ran out of the room.

Gillian watched her retreating figure and let out a cold scoff. What a pathetic, miserable joke.

After her shift, Gillian met Miles Stanton to grab dinner.

He had previously offered her a position managing a private clinic, and she had finally made her decision.

It was an excellent opportunity, and there was no reason to turn it down.

During dinner, Miles looked at her with concern. "Are you going to be able to handle managing two different jobs at once?"
