Flourish’s POV

Later that evening, I reclined against the living room couch, one leg crossed over the other as I slowly sipped the coffee in my hand. The rich bitterness lingered on my tongue while the silence inside the villa stretched comfortably around me. Half the cup was already gone by the time footsteps echoed from the entrance.
Right on schedule.
The front door opened, and Garett walked in first.
Behind him came Lydia and Selene.
Neither of them looked anything like they usually did.
Lydia’s elegant makeup couldn’t hide the stiffness around her eyes, while Selene kept her head lowered, her face swollen from crying.
Good.
Garett cleared his throat awkwardly.
“Well, Flourish… Lydia is here.”
I lowered my cup onto the marble coffee table with a quiet click before slowly raising my eyes toward them.
The warmth disappeared from my expression in an instant.
“There you are.”
Without another word, I picked up my phone, opened the camera, and pointed it directly at Lydia.
“Go ahead,” I said calmly. “I’m listening.”
Selene’s eyes flew open.
“D-Dad!” she cried. “Look at her! What’s she doing? Is she seriously filming this?”
I tilted my head, not bothering to lower my phone.
“Of course I am.”

My smile remained perfectly composed.

“You think muttering a few meaningless apologies is enough after everything you’ve done?”
I let my gaze drift between the mother and daughter before continuing slowly.
“I want proof. A little souvenir. So that years from now, when either of you suddenly develops selective memory, I can replay today’s performance.”
Inside, my wolf lifted her head proudly.
They needed this.
They needed to remember this humiliation.
They needed to remember that I was no longer the obedient girl they could manipulate whenever it suited them.
For twenty years I had smiled.
For twenty years I had endured.
Apparently that kindness had convinced everyone that standing up for myself was something I didn’t know how to do.
Not anymore.
Garett sighed heavily before turning toward Lydia.
“Lydia,” he said quietly. “Just give her what she wants. You and your nephew were not exactly innocent.”
Lydia laughed bitterly.
It sounded forced.
Every muscle around her mouth twitched as though smiling physically hurt.
Finally, she looked at me.
“I apologize.”
Her voice was strained.
“I used the wrong method. That part was my fault. I shouldn’t have involved myself in your relationship.”

She swallowed before continuing.
“Flourish… please forgive me this once.”
I didn’t even blink. “Wrong.”
She frowned. “What?”

I lowered the phone slightly. “You skipped the important part. What method? Say it clearly.”
The color drained from Lydia’s face. For several long seconds she simply stared at me. Eventually she inhaled deeply, almost as though preparing herself for execution.
“I…” she began stiffly. “I shouldn’t have slipped something into your drink. That was my fault. I shouldn’t have tried forcing things between you and my nephew. I chose the easiest solution instead of respecting your wishes. It backfired. I admit I was wrong. I won’t ever do something like that again.”
Her fingers curled tightly at her sides. “Is that good enough for you, Flourish?”
Only then did I press the screen and stop recording.
I smiled pleasantly.
“Much better. My compliments.”
Then my gaze shifted beyond her.
Straight toward several servants standing nervously near the hallway.
Those familiar faces.
The same people who had spent years reporting every one of my movements to Lydia.
The same people who never once hid where their loyalties lay.
I lifted one finger.
“You.” Then another. “You. And you.” Finally… “You too.”
Every servant whose name I had silently memorized over the years stiffened.
“You may all pack your belongings. You’re leaving today.”
The room fell silent. One middle-aged housekeeper immediately turned pale.
“Lady Flourish… Are… are we really being dismissed? I’ve worked here for nearly ten years.”

Another hurried forward. “I’ve been serving this household for five years. We didn’t-”
“You followed Lydia’s orders,” I interrupted calmly. “You laughed whenever she humiliated me. You reported everything I did. So naturally… You’ll leave together.”I turned toward Lydia with an innocent smile.
“And before you accuse me of being heartless… They’re your people. They should continue serving you.”
Garett’s expression stiffened. Even he hadn’t expected me to remove every servant loyal to Lydia in a single move.
He looked from me…to them…before finally speaking.
“That’s enough. You’ll all leave. We don’t require this many servants anymore. You’ll receive every kobo you’re owed. Your wages and compensation will be settled. That’s final.”
Not one of them dared argue.
Lydia looked at me as though she wished she could tear me apart with her bare hands.
Hatred shimmered beneath her composed expression.
I simply smiled back. Then I turned toward Garett. “Dad.”
He looked at me cautiously. “Should I have your luggage sent over too?”
His brows immediately furrowed. “My luggage?”
“Yes.” I tilted my head sweetly. “The Southridge Villa. You and Lydia are such a united front. I assumed you’d be moving in together.”
His face darkened instantly. “I’m not going. I’m staying here. This is my home too.”
He stared at me carefully. “…Flourish. You’re not planning to throw me out as well, are you?”
I laughed softly. “I wouldn’t dare. I was merely asking.”
The silence that followed was almost amusing. Lydia finally lowered her eyes. Without another word, she picked up one suitcase.
Selene followed behind her, red-eyed and utterly humiliated.
Mother and daughter walked out of the villa together.
