It’s spreading across the Eastern Army channels,” Rhys said. “Every major command group is carrying oss’s message. Some of them are already forwarding it to pack leaders.”
Damian’s fingers tightened around mine.
How fast?” he asked.
Fast enough that we should assume every territory with ties to the Eastern Army has heard it.”
Callum leaned back in his chair. His expression gave away very little, but his jaw had tightened.
So he wants everyone watching,” he said.
He wants everyone afraid,” Damian replied.
We moved into the estate’s war room less than ten minutes later. The room had changed over the past few weeks.
Maps covered one wall. Pack borders were marked across another. F–Tech security feeds occupied three screens, while a live communication board showed alerts coming from Stonehedge, Dartwood and several smaller territories.
I sat beside Damian. Callum took the seat opposite us, while Rhys stood near the main screen with his laptop open.
Damian pointed to the map.
“If Voss was going to hit Stonehedge first, he would have done it before making a public declaration.”
Callum frowned. “You think the announcement is a distraction?”
“I think it tells us where he wants our attention.” Damian tapped several points on the map. “He can attack supply routes, isolate loyalist packs, cut communication between territories, or target anyone who has publicly sided with Flourish. He doesn’t need to breach our walls to weaken us.”
My eyes moved over the marked routes.
“And F–Tech,” I said.

Everyone looked at me.
“F–Tech connects too many of those systems. Pack communication, security tracking, financial transfers, emergency alerts.
If someone wants to disrupt several territories without sending warriors across their borders, they don’t need an army.”
“They need access,” Rhys finished.
I nodded.
“We secure every access point. No outside connections until we know what we’re dealing with.”
Rhys began typing.
“F–Tech already has encrypted Alpha–linked channels. They’re separate from ordinary corporate systems, but they’re connected through the emergency network.”
“Then isolate them.”
“I can cut external pack access, but some field teams will lose live tracking.”
“Do it anyway. We can use direct Alpha channels for anything urgent.”
Rhys hesitated.
“Flourish, if we cut the network completely-”
“I’d rather have slower communication than give someone a path into every pack that trusts F–Tech.”
He nodded and sent the command.
A warning appeared on the screen.
“EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS DISABLED.”
For a few seconds, the room was quiet.
Then another alert appeared.
Cheryl’s name flashed across the communication board.
Rhys answered.
He almost smiled.
The meeting continued for another hour. We reviewed supply routes, pack contacts and F–Tech facilities that could be targeted. By the time everyone finally left, it was close to midnight.
I remained in the war room, staring at the darkened screens.
Damian found me there.
“You’re supposed to be sleeping.”
“So are you.”
“I checked the western patrol reports.”
“And?”
“Nothing yet.”
I nodded.
He came closer and pulled out the chair beside mine.
For a while, neither of us spoke.
Then he said, “I’m afraid of losing you.”
I looked at him.
Damian rarely said things like that. He carried fear differently from most people. He usually turned it into orders, patrols and plans. Hearing him say it plainly made me put down the tablet in my hand.
“You won’t lose me tonight.”
“Tonight isn’t what I’m worried about.”
I reached for his hand.
“I know”
His thumb moved across my knuckles.
“My wolf keeps thinking about every time your bloodline reacts. Every time someone comes after can fight wolves. I can defend territory. But I can’t fight something I don’t understand.”
“You don’t have to understand everything before you stand beside me.”
He looked at me for a moment.
“I already chose that.”
I leaned closer, resting my forehead against his.
