Chapter 302 The Wolf Inside F–tech
Lady Flourish
We were halfway to F–Tech when I stopped Damian.
“We don’t accuse anyone until we have evidence.”
He looked at me from the passenger seat. “I know.”
“I mean it. Whoever is inside the company may be trying to make us turn on our own people.”
His jaw tightened, but he nodded. “Then we find the evidence first.”
I told the driver not to use the siren. I didn’t want the whole building knowing we were coming.
Damian glanced at me. “You’re expecting resistance.”
“I’m expecting someone who planned ahead.”

By the time we reached the main F–Tech facility, Cheryl had already gathered the access records. The building was still operating, but the atmosphere had changed. Employees spoke in low voices near the reception area, and several kept checking their phones. Voss’s declaration had reached them.
Cheryl met us at the security floor with Rhys.
“We’ve narrowed the list,” she said.
“How many?”
“Twenty–three people have some level of access to the compromised system. Six have administrator privileges.”
I looked through the names. Several were senior employees who had worked at F–Tech for years. They handled security architecture, finance systems, pack communications and emergency infrastructure.
“We don’t suspend them yet,” I said.
Rhys looked at me. “Even after what happened?”
J
“Especially after what happened. If we start accusing people because they had access, we make the intruder’s job easier.”
Cheryl nodded and brought up the access history.
Every account had a normal reason for being there. Every login looked legitimate until the system compared it against the old Stonehedge signature.
Cheryl opened the employee profiles. I recognized most of the faces. These were people I had trusted with confidential pack contracts.
That made the situation worse.

“That signature was buried after the old command system was retired,” Rhys explained. “It shouldn’t be usable.”
“Then someone made it usable”
We moved through the security floor and into the restricted section. The server rooms were behind two reinforced doors with biometric locks. Only a handful of people could enter without a security escort.
I slowed near the second door.
My wolf lifted her head.
“Someone was here.”
I stopped.
Damian noticed immediately. “What?”
I took a breath and focused on the corridor. There was a faint scent underneath the sterile smell of metal, cooling systems and cleaning chemicals. It was unfamiliar.
“Wolf,” I said. “Male.”
Rhys looked toward the security cameras.
“Let’s see who came through.”
He pulled up the footage.
The recording showed the corridor at 1:17 a.m. A person in a dark hooded jacket entered the restricted section. The face was turned away from the camera..
“They knew where the cameras were,” Cheryl said.
Rhys advanced the footage.
The person stopped outside the server room, scanned an access card, and went inside.”
“Can you enhance the face?” I asked.
“I already tried.”
The image sharpened, but the hood remained angled toward the wall.
“Who was on duty?”
Cheryl checked.
“Two security officers. Both are still here.”
“Bring them in.”

One of them stopped beside Damian and spoke quietly.

“Good. Keep everyone inside the building until Rhys clears them.”
I looked toward the corridor again.
My wolf became alert.
“Wait.”
Damian looked at me.
I closed my eyes briefly and drew in another breath.
The scent was still there.
