Chapter 310 Someone Is Watching
Lady Flourish POV
The photograph stayed on the screen long after the connection dropped.
I kept looking at it. Whoever had taken it had been close enough to catch Damian and me outside F-Tech, and none of our security wolves had noticed. That bothered me more than the photograph itself.
“Lock everything down,” Damian said.
Rhys was already moving. “F-Tech?”
“F-Tech, Dartwood, Stonehedge. Start with every system connected to Flourish.”
Rhys nodded and began making calls.
I studied the screen. “They know where we go.”
“They know where we went four days ago.”
“And they knew enough to take the picture.”
He looked at me. “Which means we have to assume they know more.”
By the time we got back to F-Tech, the building was in security lockdown. Every external connection had been restricted, pack communication channels were being checked one by one, and everyone entering or leaving was verified by both identity and scent.
Cheryl met us near the security desk. “We found something.”
“What?”
She lowered her voice. “Several employees have received anonymous financial offers.”
“How many?”
“Seven so far. Different amounts, different accounts. Every message offered money in exchange for information about company schedules, executive movements, and access procedures.”
Rhys swore under his breath.
“Have you questioned them?” I asked.
“No. I thought you’d want to decide how to handle it.”
I looked around. Employees were being escorted through the checks, some of them visibly frightened.
“We don’t accuse anyone yet,” Damian said.
Rhys frowned. “Damian.”
“If they’re guilty, we need proof. If they aren’t, accusing them could push the wrong person into a panic.” He turned to Cheryl. “Protect them quietly. Monitor their accounts, phones, and access. Nobody should know we’re watching unless they give us a reason.”
She nodded and walked off.
I turned to Rhys. “What about my phone?”
“We’ve been checking it.”
“And?”
He hesitated. “That depends on how much you want to know.”
“Everything.”
He connected my phone to a secure F-Tech terminal. A few minutes later, a list of unfamiliar processes appeared. “Someone has been monitoring it.”
Damian’s expression hardened. “For how long?”
“About six weeks.”
I stared at him. “Six weeks?”
“There were attempts before that, but it became consistent six weeks ago. Calls, location data, message activity. They couldn’t read everything, but they collected enough to track patterns.”
He also found that the monitoring signal had changed locations several times. It had been active near the estate, then at F-Tech, then during our trip to Grey Ridge.
Whoever ran it had followed my movements instead of watching one place, which meant our security failure was wider than we had thought.
Damian pushed away from the desk. “Could they have tracked her at home?”
Rhys didn’t answer, and that was answer enough.
Damian walked to the window. For weeks, someone could have known when I left the estate,
where I went, who I met, and when I came back. They could have known when we were alone. I could see how angry the thought made him.
I went to him. “Damian.”
“I should have caught this.”
