Chapter 311 The Pack Of Callum’s Money

Lady Flourish POV

The question stayed between us after Eugene ended the call.

“What the hell did my family leave me?”

Damian looked at me, but before he could answer, I stood. “I want Callum here.”

He nodded. Rhys sent the message, then asked Eugene to bring the full transfer file to F–Tech.

Eugene arrived first with the documents. Callum came twenty minutes later. He walked in alone, and the moment he saw my face, he knew why I had called him.

“You found the clause.”

“You knew about it.”

“Yes.”

I pushed the contract across the table. “You gave me money knowing that keeping it would give you legal authority over something connected to my bloodline.”

Callum looked at the document. “I didn’t lie about wanting to help you.”

“That wasn’t my question.”

He pulled out a chair but didn’t sit. “The money was never a simple gift.”

“I figured that out.”

“I wanted you to have resources no one could take from you. F–Tech, your own accounts, and independent legal protection weren’t enough. The asset was created for a different purpose.”

“What purpose?”

“To protect the First Alpha bloodline.”

I stared at him. “Then why didn’t you tell me?”

“Because you weren’t ready.”

My temper rose. “Everyone keeps saying that. Garret said it. You said it. People hid things from me because they decided what I could handle. Do you understand how exhausting that is?”

“If I’d told you earlier, people would have started looking for it. Voss would have known there was another layer of protection around you. The Eastern Army could have searched for it. And anyone watching the bloodline records would have realized you had access to something they didn’t.”

“So you hid it.”

“I protected it.”

“And used the money to secure your authority over it.”

His jaw tightened. “The clause was the only legal structure that let me transfer control without exposing the network before you were ready.”

“That’s convenient.”

“It’s also true.”

I looked at Damian. He had stayed quiet and let me handle it myself, which helped more than anything he could have said. I had spent too many years having other people decide what information I deserved.

“What exactly is this asset?” I asked.

Eugene answered from across the room. “It isn’t an asset in the usual sense.” He slid a folder forward. “It’s not a company, estate, account, or physical property. The old documents describe it as a pack protection network.”

“A network?”

“Several packs were connected through the First Alpha bloodline. They agreed to provide safe passage, emergency warriors, medical support, shelter, intelligence, and protection to members of the bloodline during conflict.”

Callum nodded. “It stayed active for generations.”

“Then why have I never heard of it?”

“Because it went dormant decades ago,” Eugene said. “It stopped responding after the last recognized heir disappeared from the records, and most of the packs eventually stopped communicating through the old system.”

“Does dormant mean dead?”

“No. The infrastructure was preserved. The old communication points were sealed and the agreements left intact. The packs simply stopped answering bloodline requests.”
