Chapter 320 Two Vessels One Bloodline
Lady Flourish POV

I kept the folded paper in my hand as we drove back toward the safe house. Amara sat across from me, silent, while Damian stayed beside me. Callum had taken the front seat with Rhys.
The convoy moved through the forest with headlights low. Every few minutes, one of the Dartwood wolves checked the perimeter through the mind link. My wolf remained awake.
“Amara.” I said, “what exactly is the second vessel?”
She looked at me. “You still don’t know?”
“No.”
Callum turned slightly from the front seat.
“Then we need to explain it properly.”
I looked at him. “You knew.”
“I knew fragments.”
“You always know fragments.”
His mouth tightened. “Because people spent generations making sure no one person had the whole record.”
Damian glanced at him through the mirror. “Start with what you know.”
Callum nodded.
“The First Alpha bloodline carried two separate functions. The primary heir carried authority. The second vessel carried access.”
“Access to what?”
“The bloodline network.”
I frowned.
“I thought the network belonged to the heir.”
“It responds to the heir,” Callum said. “That isn’t the same thing.”
Amara shifted in her seat.
Callum continued. “The primary heir can command allegiance. Wolves from packs tied to the First Alpha bloodline can recognize that authority and, under certain conditions, obey it.”
I looked at my hands.
That explains what happened earlier

“Yes.”
The memory of every wolf dropping to one knee returned immediately.
“But Amara can influence the network?”
“More than influence it.”
Callum paused.
“She can open channels you cannot. She can activate old protections, redirect certain bloodline resources. and wake agreements that have been dormant for generations.”
Amara looked uncomfortable.
“I don’t control everything.”
“No,” Callum said. “Neither of you does.”
“Then why separate us?”
His answer came without hesitation.
“Because together, you become dangerous.”
Damian’s expression hardened.
“To whom?”
“Everyone who depends on being able to resist the First Alpha line.”
I turned toward him..
“Explain.”
Callum looked at me.
“If the primary heir commands the wolves while the second vessel controls the network that supports those wolves, the two abilities reinforce each other.”
My stomach tightened.
“So one person could command packs and control the systems that protect them.”
“Yes.”
Amara shook her head.
“That sounds worse than it is.”
Callum gave her a tired look.
“You have never seen what the old records describe.”

“What do they describe?”
“Packs surrendering territory without a fight. Warriors abandoning orders from their own Alphas. Entire groups changing allegiance because the bloodline authority was strong enough to override years of loyalty.”
I looked at Damian.
His jaw had tightened.
“Could Flourish do that?”
“Not alone.”
“And Amara?”
“Not alone.”
I looked between them.
“But together?”
Callum nodded.
“That was the fear.”
The vehicle went quiet.
My wolf moved beneath my skin.
“Power”
I pushed her back down.
I didn’t like the word.
It made everything sound simple. As if what Garret had done could be explained by fear of power and nothing else.
“What would happen if we were raised together?”
Callum shook his head.
“No one knows for certain.”
“Then why was everyone so afraid?”
“Because the old records contained warnings.”
He pulled a thin folder from his coat and handed it to Rhys, who passed it back to me.
The pages were old. Some had been copied from older documents, others looked like handwritten notes.
I scanned the first page.

There was a diagram of two circles joined by a line.
“Primary authority,” I read.
“Second access,” Callum said.
I turned the page.
A sentence had been underlined.
**When both vessels awaken together. resistance may become impossible.**
I read it twice.
Amara leaned over.
“That doesn’t say one person would control everyone.”
“No,” Callum said. “It says resistance may become impossible.”
“That is still bad.”
“It is also incomplete.”
I looked up.
“You keep saying that.”
“Because it is.”
He leaned back.

“Garret didn’t have the full record. Neither did the elders who advised him. They knew enough to be afraid, but not enough to understand what the two vessels could actually become.”
“Then he made a decision based on fear.”
“Yes.”
The answer hit harder than I expected.
I thought about the erased records, the hidden child, the years Amara had spent moving between settlements while I grew up believing my family was whole.
Damian reached for my hand.
I let him take it.
Amara looked out the window.
“What happened to the previous second vessel?” she asked.
Callum went silent.

I turned toward him.
“There was another?”
“No.”
“Then why did you hesitate?”
“Because the records say there were attempts to create one.”
Amara’s face changed.
“What does that mean?”
“They tried to find another bloodline carrier after the last known vessel disappeared.”
My fingers tightened around Damian’s.
“And did they succeed?”
Callum shook his head.
“No.”
Rhys suddenly spoke from the front.
