I Refice To Be Your Luna
Chapter 321 The Mark Beneath Her Skin
Lady Flourish POV

Rhys had barely closed the door when he came back with the equipment. “We should examine her before anyone else arrives.”
Amara eyed him. “What kind of examination?”
“Bloodline.”
Her expression tightened. “I’ve had enough people examining me.”
“Then we only do it if you agree,” I said.
She studied me for a moment, then nodded. “Fine.”
The safe house had an old medical room at the back, built for injured pack warriors who couldn’t safely reach a public clinic.
Rhys cleared the table while Damian checked the windows and spoke quietly with the guards outside.
Callum stayed near the doorway, and I noticed he hadn’t taken his eyes off Amara since we arrived.
“Why are you watching her?”
“Because the last time a second vessel was examined, three people died.”
Amara’s face hardened. “Then maybe you should have mentioned that before asking me to sit down.”
Callum sighed. “It wasn’t meant to frighten you.”
“It worked anyway.”
“Enough.” Damian said, and Callum let it go.
Rhys set a small scanner beside the equipment. “It won’t hurt. It only measures bloodline activity.”
Amara sat, and I stood beside her. The scanner was linked to a tablet, and Rhys ran the first check across her wrist. For several seconds nothing happened.
Then the screen changed. A dark symbol appeared beneath the bloodline readings.
Rhys stared at it. “What…”
I stepped closer. Two curved lines joined at the center. I had seen it before. “That’s the mark from the map.”
He nodded slowly. “Almost identical.”
Callum moved in. “Turn her wrist.”
Amara did. The mark was barely visible beneath her skin, like an old scar, except the lines were too precise.

“Why didn’t anyone notice this before?” Damian asked.

Because it isn’t active,” Rhys said. He scanned it again, and the mark vanished from the screen. Then it returned.
Amara pulled her hand back. “What was that?”
“It responds to the bloodline.”
“Mine?”
He glanced at me. “Both of yours.”
My wolf stirred beneath my skin. “Can I touch it?”
Amara hesitated. “I don’t know what will happen.”
“Neither do I.”
Damian stepped closer. “We don’t have to do this.”
“If it’s connected to the map, we need to understand it.”
He didn’t argue. Amara held out her arm. “Fine.”
The moment my fingers touched the mark, my whole body went still, and the room disappeared.
I was standing in a child’s bedroom. A small wooden bed against the wall, a stuffed wolf on the floor. morning light slipping through the gaps in the curtains, I knew it. My old room at Stonehedge.
A little girl sat on the floor beside the bed, dark hair, clutching the stuffed wolf. When I saw her face, my breath caught. Amara, much younger.
I heard laughter, my own. Then I saw myself, sitting cross–legged on the bed with a wooden toy.
“You’re cheating,” little Amara said.
“I am not.”
“You moved it.”
“You weren’t looking.”
I turned toward the door. Our mother stood there, Elara, younger too, smiling at us. “Girls, your father is looking for you.”
Amara jumped up. I climbed down from the bed. We both ran into her arms.
The memory shifted. Garret stood in the doorway, and he wasn’t the father I remembered. He looked frightened. He looked at Amara, then at me, and said something I couldn’t hear.
The room changed again. Amara was crying. A healer was packing clothes into a small bag while our mother argued with Garret, begging him, her face wet.

Then two guards walked in. One took Amara’s hand, and she screamed.
eached for her. “Don’t take her!”
The memory broke. I stumbled backward, and Damian caught me before I hit the floor.
“Flourish.”

Rhys was calling my name, but I couldn’t answer. Across the room Amara was crying. She had seen it too.
“You remember,” she whispered.
“Yes.”
Her breathing shook. “I thought I imagined that room.”
“You didn’t.”
She wiped her face. “I remembered you. Not clearly. They told me I’d made you up, that my memories were confused because I was too young.”
My chest ached. “I was there.”
“So was I.”
Nobody spoke. Damian kept a hand on my shoulder while I looked at the mark on her wrist. “It activated when I touched it.”
“It may be a memory seal,” Rhys said.
