I Refuse To Be Your Luna (Flourish and Harold) novel Chapter 94

Chapter 94 Terms Of A New Beginning

Lady Flourish’s POV

ร

Florshed

I lowered my eyes, my fingers twisting together in my lap as I finally found the courage to speak.

“… And if you don’t mind that I broke off the betrothal with your brother…” My voice came out softer than I intended. “Then I’m willing.”

For a heartbeat, the room fell completely silent. I saw Damian’s Adam’s apple move ever so slightly as he swallowed.

An overwhelming wave of alpha energy escaped him without warning, sweeping through the villa with enough force to make my wolf instinctively lower her head. It lasted for only a brief moment before he reined it in completely, as though nothing had happened.

His gaze remained fixed on me. “You’re sure?”

I nodded. “Yes.” The word felt heavier than I expected. “Becoming your Luna would be… a huge win for me.”

I couldn’t bring myself to meet his eyes. Everything about this arrangement favored me.

His influence, his standing, his protection.

With Damian standing behind me, nobody in Stonehedge Pack would dare treat me the way they had before. “I’m willing.”

For several long seconds, he simply looked at me.

Then, without saying anything, he reached beside him, picked up a throw pillow from the couch, and calmly placed it across his lap before leaning back again.

Only after settling himself did he speak. “Your grandmother just passed away.”

His voice was steady, carrying none of the excitement I had expected. “Let’s wait we register the mate bond and hold the Luna Rite ceremony.”

year before

The hope that had just risen inside me immediately dimmed. I shook my head. “No.”

His brows lifted slightly.

“Just two weeks.” I looked straight at him this time. “We’ll do it two weeks after Grandma is laid to rest.”

I’m sorry, Grandma… I can’t wait anymore. I can’t keep enduring them. Please forgive me… just this once. I muttered inwardly.

Drawing a slow breath, I continued quietly.

“But since Grandma only just passed away, I want to keep everything between us private for

now.”

I hesitated before asking, “Is that okay?”

I wasn’t sure whether someone like Damian would appreciate hiding a relationship.

After all, if he truly wanted a Luna, announcing it immediately would be the simplest solution.

Instead, he studied me with narrowed eyes. The silence stretched just long enough to make me

nervous.

Then he nodded once. “All right.”

My shoulders relaxed. “After that,” he continued naturally, “do you want to move into Stormbridge Villa, or should I move into your place?”

I blinked. He really adapted to this relationship frighteningly fast.

It hadn’t even been ten minutes. “I’ll move in with you.”

“Good.” He stood, walked toward a cabinet near the study, opened one of the drawers, and returned holding a sleek black card.

Without ceremony, he placed it in front of me. “I don’t really know what women usually like.”

His expression remained perfectly calm. “Buy whatever you need.”

I stared at the card. Even without reading the name engraved across it, I knew what it represented. “It’s fine.” I instinctively pushed it back. “I have enough money—”

“You have yours.” He interrupted me before I could finish. “I have mine.”

His green eyes settled on me with quiet certainty. “I don’t make a habit of spending a woman’s money.”

He nudged the card back toward me. “Take it. It covers every household expense.”

He paused briefly before adding in the same composed tone, “I’m an Alpha. If you’re becoming my Luna, then what’s mine is yours.”

I looked down at the black card again. But mine definitely isn’t yours.

Not because I was unwilling. Simply because my company’s earnings couldn’t even begin to compare with his wealth.

Arguing felt pointless. There would be countless occasions when I needed his identity and influence.

One more card wouldn’t change much.

Besides… I’d only use it for household expenses.

Nothing more.

Walking out of Stormbridge Villa felt strangely unreal.

The morning breeze brushed against my face as I unlocked my car, but my thoughts remained hopelessly tangled.

So… that’s it. Damian is actually going to become my mate.

Even now, the whole thing felt like a dream.

I sat behind the steering wheel for several minutes before finally managing to steady my breathing.

Only then did I start the engine.

At exactly ten o’clock, Garett appeared outside my office.

Cheryl led him inside before quietly closing the door behind them.

Compared to his attitude during his last visit, today’s Garett seemed like an entirely different

person.

He even managed a stiff smile. “Flourish. You’re here.”

I clicked my tongue softly before sitting down behind my desk. “What do you want to talk about?”

His smile became noticeably more strained. “I was… a little harsh the last time.”

He cleared his throat. “Your grandmother’s five percent shares, they’re yours now.”

He attempted another smile. “Just consider them part of your future mate’s gift.”

I couldn’t help letting out a quiet scoff. “Dad. Grandma transferred those shares to me before she passed away. They belonged to me regardless of what you think.”
