I Regret Being Alpha’s Secret Mate novel Chapter 7

Chapter 7

Before the Enforcer could even finish his sentence, Julian’s voice turned even colder, cutting him off with sharp irritation.

“I don’t know her. This is my private line. If there’s an issue, contact my Beta.”

The call ended.

The Enforcer let out a cold snort.

“Look at that. What a total lunatic, just asking for trouble.”

My hand dropped limply to my side.

I stared at the floor for a long, long time.

Then, a slow, tragic smile crept onto my face—a look of pure, hollow sorrow.

A week later, I was transferred to the general holding cells deep within the Pack Dungeon.

The heavy iron gate groaned open. A hand shoved me from behind, and I stumbled inside.

“I know this one. She’s the crazy Omega who tried to sleep her way into the Alpha’s bloodline. Stalked Alpha Julian, even stripped in the snow for him, but he didn’t give a damn.”

“I’ve never seen anyone so shameless.”

“Hey, newbie. Get over here.”

“Since you love sucking up to high—ranking males so much, come on. Let’s see what you’ve got…”

The leader of the group gave me a violent shove, slamming me against the wall.

A sharp pain flared from my bones—the ones that hadn’t even finished healing yet.

But that pain was nothing compared to the agony in my heart.

I never dreamed that because of Julian Vance, I would end up in such a pathetic state.

When I didn’t speak and my eyes remained dead, the arrogant she—wolf felt she had lost face. She raised her hand and delivered a slap to my head.

“I’m talking to you! Are you deaf?”

My head spun.

My teeth knocked against my lip, biting into the flesh, drawing blood that coated my teeth and tongue.

“Just hit me,” I whispered. “Kill me. It doesn’t matter.”

I looked up, my eyes filled with absolute despair.

My lack of resistance only fueled their cruelty.

“Oh? Think you’ve got backbone? To tell you the truth, you little bitch, the pack elders specifically left instructions when you were brought in. They told us to ‘teach you the pack rules.'”

A heavy kick caught me in the ribs before I could react.

I was sent flying, crashing onto the hard stone floor.

Then, they swarmed me.

One grabbed my hair and slammed my head against the concrete.

Another ground her heel into my wrist.

Someone else roughly tore at my clothes, spitting out the vilest insults.

“Acting like a saint now? Weren’t you pretty quick to strip when you were trying to seduce the Alpha?”

I struggled, but it only earned me more brutal blows.

A pool of blood slowly spread beneath me.
