I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 120

The day of Yolanda's grand socialite gathering arrived in a flash.

She was dressed in a stunning, deep burgundy velvet gown, its collar trimmed with exquisite pearls. A priceless emerald bracelet hugged her wrist, catching the luxurious afternoon sunlight.

Her hair was styled in an immaculate updo, her makeup flawless, her lips painted a striking crimson. She radiated the aura of untouchable, old-money wealth.

She sat elegantly in the private VIP lounge on the second floor of the bookstore, surrounded by her elite circle of wealthy friends.

The women were impeccably dressed, their faces perfectly contoured, each sipping from delicate cups of premium artisan tea.

"This entire bookstore is owned and operated by my beautiful daughter-in-law,"

Yolanda announced, lifting her teacup with an air of immense superiority. "She is the only daughter of a renowned calligraphy master. She's studied under him since childhood. Every piece of breathtaking artwork hanging on these walls was personally crafted by her."

The socialites immediately showered her with praise and fawning agreement.

One of the women, however, glanced down at her phone, swiping through her screen before looking back up with a frown.

"Mrs. Fletcher, what was the name of this bookstore again?"

"The Poet's Library," Yolanda replied with a glowing smile. "A deeply poetic title, inspired entirely by my daughter-in-law's brilliant artistic vision."

"But I'm looking online right now, and it says the shop was recently rebranded." The woman turned her phone around to show the screen. "Look, this was posted by their official social media account. It's now called... Serenity Books."

Yolanda's arrogant smile violently froze on her face.

She shot a quick, venomous glare at the screen before forcefully regaining her aristocratic composure.

"Impossible. The internet is full of baseless rumors and people looking for cheap attention. Don't believe such nonsense."

The woman dropped the subject verbally, but internally, she scoffed. It was posted by the verified official account. Why would they need fake clout? Still, she knew better than to argue out loud.

The rest of the table quickly steered the conversation back to shameless flattery.

"You are truly blessed, Mrs. Fletcher. Your daughter-in-law is both stunning and fiercely talented."

Compliment after compliment rolled in, puffing Yolanda's ego back up to dizzying heights.

"Indeed she is," Yolanda chuckled softly, taking another refined sip of her tea. "I must apologize for the incident last time, ladies. My son was entirely out of line, and he deeply offended you. Today is my treat, as a formal apology. In a moment, I'll have the owner come up here and draft a custom piece of calligraphy for each of you as a welcoming gift."

She elegantly set down her teacup and pressed the gilded service bell on the table.

She swept her gaze across her wealthy peers, letting out a dramatic, condescending sigh.

"The youth today are entirely incompetent. I'll have to speak with Chloe about this later. The poor girl is simply too busy, allowing her floor staff to run entirely undisciplined."

The socialites nodded along, offering shallow giggles of agreement.

The heavy lounge doors slowly pushed open.

Every single pair of eyes in the room darted toward the entrance in unison...

Sienna stepped into the room. Today, she was dressed in a simple, crisp white button-down and light wash denim, her hair tied back in a low, effortless ponytail. She wore zero jewelry, looking remarkably fresh, pristine, and wholly uncomplicated.

Her mere presence felt like a breath of clean, untainted air slicing through the suffocating, materialistic stench of the VIP lounge.

The socialites were instantly mesmerized by her breathtaking, understated elegance.

Except for Yolanda. The arrogant, triumphant smile on her face violently shattered into a million pieces.

"Valued customer," Sienna greeted, her voice calm, clear, and dripping with icy authority. "I was informed you were looking for me?"
