I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 119

Sienna gave him a look of deep suspicion.

Paxton placed the folder on the nearest desk and slid it toward her.

She opened it. Inside lay a highly detailed transfer of ownership agreement.

It was for The Poet's Library.

The transferring party was Paxton Zane, and the receiving party was explicitly printed as Sienna Sterling.

"What is the meaning of this?" she demanded.

Staring at the words "The Poet's Library," a knot of revulsion formed in Sienna's chest.

The very existence of that bookstore had disgusted her since its inception.

Back then, everyone believed Finn had bankrolled it solely for Chloe's pleasure, and it had been a bitter pill for Sienna to swallow.

As the shop exploded in popularity, becoming a massive socialite hotspot in the city, people around her constantly raved about it. Sienna, however, had completely refused to step foot near the place.

"Chloe has absolutely zero business sense. The place was on the verge of bankruptcy when she came crying to me," Paxton explained, leaning casually against the desk. "We grew up together. Her father was my absolute mentor, practically a second father to me. I viewed Chloe like my own family. So, I poured my soul into saving it. I hired a top-tier management crew, built an elite marketing team, and sank millions into it to make it the empire it is today."

Paxton paused, letting out a long, exhausted sigh.

It was clear he was reliving the catastrophic betrayal Chloe had subjected him to.

He continued slowly.

"She doesn't deserve it. A malicious, talentless, utterly depraved snake like her doesn't deserve to reap the rewards of my hard work. There is no way in hell I'm letting her coast on my empire. So, I took it all back."

Sienna listened to his monologue in silence, then calmly placed the papers back into the folder and pushed it across the table.

"That sounds like a personal issue between the two of you."

Paxton slammed his hand down on the folder, stopping it.

"Now it's your business too. You can rebrand the entire place. Start brainstorming a new name tonight, and I'll have my legal team finalize the transfer tomorrow."

Sienna stared at him like he was out of his mind.

Over the past few days of dealing with him, she had gotten a solid read on his chaotic personality.

He was insanely stubborn.

"Paxton, listen to me. You're drowning in debt from your failed tour. You're already taking a massive loss doing this hospital mural for free. Since you successfully clawed the bookstore back, just keep it. Sell it or run it yourself to make your money back. Why give it away?"

Sienna quickly slammed her hand over his.

"Don't. Just... let me think about it."

Only then did Paxton look satisfied, releasing the documents.

Three days later, the bookstore underwent a massive rebranding.

It was legally transformed into "Serenity Books."

It was the name Sienna had carefully chosen.

Serenity. A silent blessing for everyone who walked through its doors.

The official proprietor on all legal documents had been successfully changed to Sienna Sterling.

She hadn't even signed the original transfer deed, but Paxton's aggressive legal team assured her they didn't need her signature to push the transfer through. She couldn't stop them, and frankly, she was too exhausted to keep trying.

Regardless, she made a quiet vow to herself: she would never touch a single cent of the profits.

As long as she upheld that moral boundary, nothing else mattered.
