I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 200

Finn tightened his fists.

"It is her choice to wear whatever she wants."

Yolanda shot him a sharp glare, scoffed dismissively, and refused to entertain the argument.

But her smugness didn't last long.

Nine out of ten guests who approached her kept asking who the stunning young woman sitting beneath the crystal chandelier was.

Yolanda was seething. This was exactly Sienna's game—she was publicly forcing Yolanda's hand.

And now, she had no choice but to walk over.

It was her own extravagant birthday gala, yet she was being entirely upstaged by a girl in a cheap, faded dress.

She was utterly furious.

Yolanda discreetly waved a waiter over, leaning in to whisper.

"Let those tabloid reporters in now."

The waiter gave a quick nod and hurried off.

Balancing a champagne flute in her hand, Yolanda plastered on a brilliant, welcoming smile and glided gracefully toward Sienna. Her posture was the picture of aristocratic perfection.

"Sienna, it must be so dreadful sitting here all by yourself. Come, let me introduce you to a few of my friends."

Sienna glanced up at her but made no move to stand.

"No need. I'm perfectly comfortable right here."

Yolanda's smile did not slip.

"Nonsense. You are Finn's friend, which makes you my honored guest."

Sienna set her cocktail down and slowly rose to her feet.

She was half a head taller than Yolanda, forcing the older woman to look slightly up to meet her cold gaze.

"Mrs. Fletcher, there's no need to pretend. I am not Finn's friend. I am his ex-girlfriend—the one you despised and threw out seven years ago." Her voice wasn't raised, but it carried perfectly to the nearby guests, who immediately hushed.

The polished mask on Yolanda's face finally cracked.

"Even though you did countless unforgivable things to me back then and said things intended to destroy me, I never had any interest in stooping to your level. But Finn promised me you were going to apologize tonight, so here I am."

She spoke calmly, but the surrounding crowd heard every single damning word.
