I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 231

The car pulled into the underground garage of Mercy International Hospital.

York rolled over in the backseat, his small body curling into a tight ball like a kitten snatched from its nest.

Even in sleep, his brow was furrowed and the corners of his mouth turned down, looking stubbornly as though he was holding back tears.

A suffocating wave of despair squeezed Sienna's heart.

This child had been brought into the world only to suffer.

Ford didn't deserve to be a father, and Chloe didn't deserve to be a mother.

The child was innocent; he had done absolutely nothing wrong.

The car came to a stop.

Finn cut the engine but didn't get out immediately.

Gripping the steering wheel, he remained silent for a few seconds before speaking.

"Everything you said earlier—calling the police, gathering evidence, taking legal action—I agree with it all."

Sienna looked at him.

"But you know a single medical report won't be enough to take him down."

Finn turned to face her. "He can explain York's injuries away as accidents. Chloe will back him up. The Fletcher family's legal team will step in immediately. In the end, it might not even make it to court."

Sienna's fingers tightened around the strap of her purse.

"So you plan to do nothing?"

"I never said I'd do nothing," Finn replied, his voice low. "I said we need to be better prepared."

Sienna suddenly remembered the look Finn and Felicia had exchanged at the restaurant earlier that day.

"Felicia supports you?"

Finn fell silent for a moment.

"After the birthday dinner, Felicia came to me," he said, leaning back in his seat, his voice laced with an indescribable exhaustion. "She told me that over the six months she's been married to Ford, things have felt increasingly wrong."

"She asked me whose child York really was."

Sienna said nothing.

"I told her," Finn said. "Everything."

"How did she react?"
