I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 402

Finn was intensely on edge.

From behind him, Sienna studied his sharp profile and the rigid tension locked in his jaw.

Watching the display, Sebastian clicked his tongue.

"Wow, look at you playing the protective boyfriend."

He leaned back, crossing one leg over the other as his gaze swept mockingly over Finn.

"But maybe you shouldn't spend so much time flirting. Look at you—botching the data on a critical deal like this. I guess you really are just cut out to fly planes. Running a corporate empire? Not really your strong suit, is it?"

Finn stared him down. "You bought out Leo Whitmore?"

Sebastian's smirk faltered for a fraction of a second before he recovered it. "Not bad. You figured it out that fast? Gotta hand it to you for keeping your cool and suspecting the straight-laced guy."

Ice formed in Finn's eyes. "You're despicable. Only you would sink to something this cheap."

Sebastian waved a dismissive hand, entirely unbothered.

"All is fair in love and war. It doesn't matter how cheap the trick is as long as it gets the job done."

He stood up, took two slow steps forward, and let his eyes drift over Finn's shoulder to land on Sienna.

He paused for a beat before bringing his attention back to Finn.

"Let me be straight with you. I didn't burn all this cash to fight you over this land because I actually care about the property. I did it just to piss you off."

Sienna stared at him. He didn't spell it out completely, but she knew exactly what he meant.

Sebastian was getting revenge for his sister, Sasha.

Sebastian let the silence hang, thoroughly enjoying the leverage he thought he had.

"Finn, all you have to do is cut ties with Ms. Sterling right now. If you do, I'll walk right into the committee room and admit I tampered with your presentation. I'll withdraw my bid on the spot, and the land is yours. How about it?"

He leaned casually against the doorframe, waiting for an answer.

"Otherwise, I am going to fight you to the bitter end. And let me remind you—you don't have the luxury of time."
