Lance waved his hands frantically from the sidelines.
"Boss, this is not the time to be flirting! This is life or death for the company!"
But Sienna's eyes were fixed solely on Finn. She looked right back at him.
"Finn, how many people in your secretariat have clearance for the core data?"
Finn understood what she was getting at in a heartbeat.
Terrence looked up from his screen.
"Seven."
"In the last seven days, who has accessed the master file?" Sienna asked.
Terrence froze, his expression darkening.
"I can pull the backend access logs."
Lance finally caught on to the implication.
"We have a mole?"
Finn didn't waste another second. He strode right over to Terrence's desk.
"You keep generating the numbers. I'll check the logs."
Sienna naturally sat down right next to Finn. They were so close that their shoulders were practically pressed together.
The glow of the monitor illuminated both of their faces.
Whenever she leaned in to check the screen, the ends of her hair brushed softly against his forearm.
Finn pulled up the backend logs and began scrolling through page by page.
Occasionally, Sienna would point to a specific timestamp. Their eyes would track the same lines simultaneously. The synergy was flawless, their efficiency through the roof.
Lance stood nearby, watching the two of them work shoulder-to-shoulder. He opened his mouth to say something, then immediately snapped it shut.
He realized that whenever these two were in each other's orbit, even the air in the room felt thick with romantic tension.
Sienna had a razor-sharp eye and locked onto a discrepancy almost immediately.
Finn followed the breadcrumbs she pointed out, and within minutes, they had absolute confirmation.
Leo Whitmore.
He had been transferred to Finn's secretariat just three months ago. Before that, he had been one of Lance's guys.
Lance was utterly stunned.
