"Mr. Hayes, I hope you find someone you love—and who loves you in return—very soon."
With that, she turned and walked away.
Silas stood rooted to the spot, watching her silhouette retreat until she turned the corner at the intersection, completely disappearing into the afternoon light.
Sienna walked through the sunlit streets, her entire body feeling incredibly light.
She had finally said the words out loud.
She had finally found closure with Silas.
But the words she just spoke weren't merely meant for him.
They were meant for herself, too.
She had finally admitted what was in her own heart.
Sienna hopped onto a bus heading straight for The Financial Plaza.
It was where Finn was attending the crucial bidding conference today.
She wanted to see him the absolute second his meeting was over.
-
The conference at The Financial Plaza had been dragging on for nearly three hours.
Both sides had finished their presentations, but the review committee delivered a verdict that stunned the entire room.
"Both Beaumont Capital and the Fletcher Group have merit. The final decision on who gets the land requires further deliberation."
This outcome was completely different from what everyone had expected!
The committee moved into a closed-door discussion, leaving the main hall so quiet that only the low hum of the air conditioning could be heard.
Finn and Lance Dayton retreated to a private lounge.
Lance was sweating bullets, pacing frantically.
"I can't believe Sebastian pulled a stunt like this! Is he out of his mind? He's burning his own money just to screw us over. What's his endgame? Trying to steal the bid even if he takes a massive loss?"
Finn didn't say a word, simply lifting his coffee cup to take a slow sip.
Lance's voice grew tight with panic.
"Finn, do you realize that if we don't win this bid today, your position as CEO is completely toast? Those old-guard uncles are going to use this as an excuse to rip you off the throne. Even with my dad and me backing you, we can't block all of them. Ford might be locked up, but his loyalists are still creeping around, just waiting for a chance to strike."
