I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 296

The door pushed open.

It was Lily James.

She looked incredibly anxious.

"Sienna, did you see the manifesto?"

"I saw it."

Lily dropped her bag on the desk and sat across from her, her eyes blazing with excitement.

"Sienna, my opinion of Finn Fletcher has completely changed today. He is an absolute badass!"

Sienna lowered her eyes and remained silent.

"Do you have any idea what he had to go through to get that evidence?" Lily leaned over the desk. "Isaac told me today that Ford has been cooking the books for three years. The CFO was his guy, the auditors were bought—no one could touch him. Finn personally went undercover at the subsidiaries. He flew to a different city every single day. He even went out to Yardley. He'd investigate during the day, compile the documents at night, and rush back to Metropolis by dawn. Then he'd put his uniform on and fly his commercial routes the very next day. We all thought he was just sitting on his hands, but he's been planning this massive takedown from the start! We misjudged him!"

Sienna kept her gaze locked on the surface of her desk.

Yardley? Wasn't that near Riverdale, her hometown?

She remembered the night she thought Finn had been in a car crash because she couldn't reach him. He must have been in Yardley that night.

Lily's voice grew thick with emotion.

"He's a decorated captain pulling in millions a year. He threw away a perfect career to wade into the toxic swamp of the Fletcher family. He's a completely different man than he was four years ago."

Sienna stared at the cold glass of water on her desk, its surface as still as a mirror.

She thought back to the day Finn had broken up with her. It felt like it had happened in another lifetime.

The look on his face, the agony in his voice—it had all faded into a blur over the years.

"Sienna, why aren't you saying anything?" Lily pressed.

Sienna looked up.

"Did you come all the way here to convince me to take him back?"
