"Silas, did you and Sienna get into a fight?"
Silas acted entirely unfazed.
"No."
Felicia rolled her eyes internally.
"If you want to talk to her, then take the initiative. Stop acting like the boss giving orders. Do you seriously view her as your employee?"
"Mind your manners," Silas shot her a warning look.
Serves you right, Felicia thought to herself.
Sienna played with Maya for a while until the little girl grew tired, though she still tried to fight it.
"Don't go, Auntie Sienna."
Sienna looked conflicted.
Felicia walked over and took Maya from Sienna's arms.
"Auntie Sienna has things to do. I'll stay with you tonight, okay?"
Maya looked at Sienna with tearful eyes. She was a smart girl, and she seemed to sense what was happening.
Pouting, she looked utterly heartbroken.
"Goodbye, Auntie Sienna."
Sienna felt a bitter pang in her chest.
But all good things had to come to an end.
Their bond had reached its limit, and there was nothing she could do to change it.
She looked at Felicia.
"Felicia, you've lost weight. You're pregnant, you need to take care of yourself."
Felicia squeezed her hand affectionately.
"Sienna, you don't have a job right now. If you ever need anything, please tell me."
The two exchanged a few more pleasantries.
Silas watched them from a short distance away. He hadn't taken his eyes off her, though he adamantly refused to admit he was paying attention.
When Sienna said, "I'm leaving," she actually turned around and left.
Now Silas started to panic.
