I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 418

"My decision is that this land goes to the Fletcher Group."

Sebastian shot up from his seat.

"No! This is absurd! Who is she? What gives her the right to just hand it over?"

Maeve looked at him, her tone completely devoid of inflection.

"If anyone has any objections, you are welcome to examine the original documents. I submitted the paperwork to the committee before arriving today—notarized certificates, transfer agreements, property deeds. Everything is in order. If you question my identity, you may take legal action."

Blood rushed to Sebastian's head. Just as he was about to retort, a hand grabbed his sleeve.

Sasha had somehow made her way to the front row.

She wore a light-colored dress and looked slightly out of breath, as if she had rushed over from somewhere else.

She tugged on Sebastian's sleeve, speaking just loud enough for the people nearby to hear.

"Sebastian, stop causing a scene."

Shock visibly flashed through Sebastian's eyes.

"Sasha, you..."

"Sebastian!" Sasha shot him a pointed look.

Sebastian was instantly rendered speechless.

Sasha turned her head toward Finn, her tone laced with perfectly calibrated apology.

"Finn, I'm so sorry I'm late. I kept trying to talk my brother out of this, but he wouldn't listen... I'm sorry for all the trouble this has caused you."

Finn glanced at Sasha, a hint of scrutiny in his eyes.

Sasha felt a twinge of guilt, but it didn't show on her face at all.

She remained the picture of pure innocence, utterly flawless.

The proceedings continued.

The committee chairman read off some procedural statements.

The host then invited the CEO of the Fletcher Group, Finn Fletcher, to the stage.

Maeve stood on the stage and handed the notarized document over to Finn.

As Finn took it, he distinctly felt Maeve's fingers linger on the edge of the file for a split second.
