I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 521

"How is the boy?" Felicia asked. Just forcing those few words out seemed to drain every ounce of her remaining strength.

Watching her, Sienna felt a lump form in her throat.

What kind of incredibly pure, selfless soul would just lose their own baby and immediately ask about someone else's child? She was as fragile as glass, teetering on the edge of shattering, yet her first thought was York.

Finn stepped forward, stopping right beside Felicia's bed. He leaned in slightly, keeping his voice incredibly soft.

"He's okay. He has some minor contusions on his head, but they've been treated. He has a slight lung infection and needs to be observed for a few days, but the doctor said he's going to be fine."

He paused, swallowing back the simple "thank you" he had prepared, replacing it with something carrying far more weight.

"You saved his life."

Hearing that, Felicia's eyelids relaxed, a profound sense of relief washing over her.

"Thank God. That poor child has already been through enough."

Silas was sitting on the sofa by the window, his voice laced with urgent anxiety.

"Worry about yourself. The doctor told you not to speak too much, but you never listen."

A faint, ghost of a smile touched Felicia's lips.

"Okay."

Finn straightened up and turned to Silas, his tone absolute.

"I will never forget what Felicia did today. From this moment on, she is my sister. Whatever she needs, whenever she needs it, I will be there."

Silas leaned back against the sofa, staring at Finn. His expression was cool, though his tone had thawed slightly.

"She's always had a bleeding heart. When she was little, she saved cats, birds, kids who fell in the water. She's been a swimmer her whole life, took home countless gold medals. If my father hadn't stopped her, she would have gone pro. But even knowing all that, I still think this was the most foolish thing she has ever done in her life."
