I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 522

"I'm coming with you."

Finn glanced at her, didn't argue, and turned toward the elevators.

At the police station.

They were met by Officer Caleb Young, a man around forty with a stern face and a strictly professional demeanor.

Finn introduced himself and provided his identification.

Officer Young flipped open a file on his desk and glanced up.

"We've already opened an investigation into Chloe's case. We're currently scrubbing her phone records."

He spun the file to face Finn and pointed to a specific line.

"We're actively pursuing this lead. Over the past month, one specific number contacted her repeatedly, and the calls lasted quite a while. But the number was registered under a fake name. We're tracking it down now."

Finn stared at the string of digits, tapping it with his finger.

"Officer Young, do you mind if I take a picture of this number?"

Officer Young hesitated, glancing at his colleague nearby, before finally nodding.

"Don't leak it."

He added quickly.

"If you stumble onto any leads on your end, you call us immediately."

Finn snapped a picture of the number, thanked him, and led Sienna out of the precinct.

Once back in the car, he didn't immediately start the engine. He pulled up the photo, stared at it for a moment, and dialed a number.

"Trace this number for me. Use the backdoor channels."

A voice confirmed on the other end.

He hung up, leaned his head against the headrest, and closed his eyes, mentally piecing the puzzle together.

Sienna sat quietly in the passenger seat. She cracked the window slightly, letting the cool night breeze slip in and sweep her hair across her forehead.

Finn rested his hands on the steering wheel.

"Sienna, I'm dropping you off at The Belvedere. You need to get some rest. You still have three days left of your vacation. Spend them relaxing. Go wherever you want to go."
