I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 561

Lydia turned to stare at Sienna, her eyes screaming, *"Why didn't you tell me?"*

Finn calmly intervened.

"Yes, the property belongs to Sienna."

Sienna glanced sideways at Finn but said absolutely nothing.

Internally, she just let out a heavy sigh.

Lydia's eyes darted around the room, her smile now so wide it looked like it might split her face.

"Wonderful, wonderful! The Fletcher family is truly exceptional. Our Sienna is so incredibly blessed."

She was sweet-talking them aloud, but her mind was already racing with greedy calculations.

Since the house was in Sienna's name, Noah could move in later. A place that massive meant she and George could eventually move in, too.

Metropolis was so glamorous; she had always wanted to settle here so she could brag to everyone back home that she was a city resident.

She swallowed those ambitions, not daring to utter a single word about them yet.

Sitting across the table, Sienna saw right through her mother's expression. Every hidden motive was glaringly obvious.

She quietly shifted her gaze away, staring at the gray, overcast sky outside the window.

Maeve put down her fork, dabbed her lips with a napkin, and let her gaze drift from Lydia to Sienna, pausing for just a second.

That single glance was brief, but Sienna caught it.

All the goodwill Maeve had painstakingly built up for her over the past months had been completely obliterated by her mother in the span of one dinner.

Yet, Sienna felt an unprecedented sense of peace.

She sat there, quietly sipping her soup, finishing her meal in complete silence. She didn't offer a single excuse for her mother, nor did she try to defend herself.

She accepted Maeve's renewed coldness, her mother's bottomless greed, and her own miserable position caught in the crossfire.

This peace wasn't surrender; it was clarity. She finally understood that her mother's greed was incurable, and Maeve's class barriers were undeniable facts. The only thing she could do was pull herself out of the middle so she wouldn't be torn apart by both forces.

After dinner, Finn drove Lydia and George to one of his properties. The apartment had already been cleaned and prepped with brand-new furnishings, ensuring the couple would be extremely comfortable.

"Finn, this apartment is gorgeous. Is this yours too?" Lydia's eyes sparkled with greed.
