I Stopped Loving Him When He Let Me Bleed Out novel Chapter 591

A new video feed suddenly popped onto the main screen.

The camera zoomed in. On the edge of a bleak, gray-white expanse of ocean, a tiny reflective speck appeared in view.

Someone at a console shouted,

"Visual on a potential target!"

Every eye in the room zeroed in on the main screen.

The reflective speck was continuously magnified and sharpened until an outline gradually formed.

It was the tip of a wing, its color matching the exact paint scheme of Finn's mission aircraft.

Immediately after, the feed pushed closer, then slowly panned out.

The full silhouette of the plane came into view, resting at an angle on the edge of a shallow shoal. The fuselage was completely intact, with no obvious signs of structural failure.

The command center fell dead silent for a second before someone muttered under their breath,

"They found him."

Sienna gripped her own hands together so tightly that her nails dug into her palms, but she couldn't let go.

She stared at the slanted outline of the plane caught between the seawater and the sandy shore, looking for all the world like a grounded bird.

Her lips trembled slightly, but her spine remained perfectly straight as her clasped hands slowly relaxed.

An operative hurried over to Chief Morgan and delivered a low-voiced report.

Chief Morgan nodded and turned to Sienna.

"The rescue team is closing in. They expect to reach the site within twenty minutes. Based on the current visuals, the fuselage structure is sound. There are no signs of a break or fire. The extraction will take some time. Ms. Sterling, would you like to rest in the other room? We promise to..."

"I'm not going anywhere. I'm staying right here," Sienna said, her eyes never leaving the screen.

Chief Morgan didn't push it. He stepped over to the main console, grabbed a radio, and spoke with absolute authority:

"Alpha Unit, report live conditions on site."
