Finn's tone pleaded.
"With your position, I know you can pull this off."
Isaac remained silent for a few seconds.
"Alright. I'll make it happen."

When Sienna arrived at the hospital for her shift, she discovered that the contents of that email had somehow leaked.
The rumors had already spread wildly through the entire hospital.
Whenever she walked into the Emergency Department, the chatter in the hallways would hush, only to start right back up as soon as she passed.
It wasn't even whispering; it was blatant, unapologetic gossip.
The hearing hadn't even happened yet, but the labels of 'academic fraud' and 'stealing someone else's spot' were practically stamped onto her forehead.
At noon, she sat alone in a corner of the cafeteria with her lunch tray.
Only Penny Sawyer ignored the stares of the others and chose to sit with her.
Sienna didn't say much, but she deeply appreciated the gesture.
Knowing Penny liked fish, she had specifically gotten a plate of it and gave it all to her.
"Sienna, once this hearing is over, we're going to slap all of them in the face and make them eat their words."
Sienna offered her a soft smile but didn't say anything more.
Joel Harper's test results were back.
Sienna stared at the screen. The mass in the ileocecal region had grown slightly—just a tiny bit, but more than enough to confirm her diagnosis.
She picked up the phone and dialed the surgical department.
"Joel Harper needs surgery. We can't wait any longer."
The head of surgery stayed quiet for a moment.
"Dr. Sterling, we discussed this. The surgical risks are too high, and the mass is located too deep. We advise against it."
"You won't operate just because it's risky? The patient has been in excruciating pain for half a month. Have you even looked at the scans?"
"We looked. The mass is too small; it doesn't meet the indications for surgery."
Sienna had a dozen arguments ready to fire back.
But the other doctor shut her down with a single sentence.
"Dr. Sterling, stop trying to use your overseas experience to lecture us. Your residency spot was obtained through shady means, and you can't even explain how you got to go abroad in the first place. Are you really trying to come back here and teach us how to perform surgeries?"
Sienna's grip on the phone tightened.
"Don't worry about the patient; we'll handle this through standard procedures. You should focus on getting through your hearing first."
The line went dead.
Sienna held the receiver, listening to the dial tone, her entire body running cold.
The sunlight poured through the window behind her, hitting her back, but she couldn't feel a shred of warmth.
She put the phone down and walked out of the office.
"You don't need to apologize. At the end of the day, you have every right to choose whether to believe me or not."
Joel realized he couldn't keep wavering like this.
He had seen so many doctors, and none of them had figured out what was wrong.
But he was in pain—blinding, unbearable pain.
Meeting the beautiful doctor was definitely a stroke of destiny.
"I trust you."
Sienna nodded.
"Then listen to me."
She stepped out of the room and ran into Isaac in the hallway.
He was standing near the nurses' station holding a file. Seeing her, he called out.
"Dr. Sterling."
Sienna stopped.
"Director Holloway."
"I'll help you coordinate Joel Harper's surgery. I'll communicate with the surgical department."
Sienna stared at him.
"Director Holloway, there's something I really don't understand, and I need to ask you."
