She straightened her posture, her tone shifting to professional seriousness.
"Of course. Holistic medicine relies on comprehensive observation, and the pulse is the foundation."
"Your pulse directly reflects the state of your internal organs. Your intermittent blindness is a symptom manifesting in your eyes, but the root cause lies deep within. If I don't take your pulse, how will I know how your blood flow and energy are operating?"
Quentin maintained his scowl, his dark eyes fixed heavily on her, unmoving.
Bonnie sighed, her clear, wide eyes meeting his gaze directly. Her tone was gentle but firm.
"Quentin, right now I am a doctor, and you are my patient. A patient must be completely honest with their physician."
"So you don't need to worry. No matter what I discover, I am bound by professional ethics. Your privacy is absolutely safe with me."
"Now, can you give me your hand?"
Quentin looked at the pale, slender hand extended toward him, a mockingly ambiguous smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.
"I wouldn't be so sure about how tight-lipped you are."
Bonnie blinked in confusion. "What do you mean by that?"
"Your friend seems intimately aware of Parrish's bedroom issues."
Quentin watched her with leisurely amusement, a trace of probing curiosity in his eyes.
Bonnie never expected him to bring that up out of nowhere. A flash of embarrassment crossed her face.
She took a deep breath, explaining with a helpless sigh, "I never told Jasmine about that. I have always upheld my medical ethics and would never leak a patient's privacy."
"Three years ago, Parrish was so anxious about his physical condition that it triggered severe manic depression. He confided in Jasmine's boyfriend at the time, and she heard it from him. That's the only reason she knows."
Quentin's dark eyes remained fixed on her, as if trying to decipher the truth in her words.
He didn't dwell on the issue, instead asking smoothly, "Since you treated him, is his condition curable?"
Bonnie didn't think much of it.
She assumed he was just purely curious. After all, Parrish was the heir to the York family. If he was truly impotent, it would jeopardize the entire family lineage.
