I Stopped Waiting and Started Loving novel Chapter 137

But by the time Parrish rushed out the doors, the black SUV had already started up and was quickly speeding out of sight.

He instinctively pulled out his phone and dialed Bonnie's number, wanting to scream at her and demand to know who that man was!

He wanted to ask her if she was so desperate for money that she would just leave with any random guy!

But the moment the call connected, an automated voice played through the speaker.

"We're sorry, the number you have dialed is currently unavailable. Please try again later..."

Parrish froze.

He finally remembered that Bonnie had blacklisted him a long time ago.

A crushing wave of blinding rage mixed with a creeping, nameless terror crashed over him.

Instantly, a sharp, piercing pain erupted in his skull, as if steel needles were being violently twisted into his brain.

The veins on his forehead bulged menacingly, stark and terrifying against his pale skin.

"Damn it..."

Parrish let out an agonizing groan. Feeling as though he were suffocating, he violently ripped open the top buttons of his dress shirt.

Just then, Seraphina chased him out of the showroom.

"Babe! The floor manager just pulled our sales associate away, and he looked absolutely furious..."

She didn't get to finish her sentence.

The world violently spun around Parrish, and his vision suddenly pitched black.

Clutching his throbbing temples, his tall frame swayed, and without any warning, he collapsed forward onto Seraphina.

"Parrish? Parrish!"

Seraphina was terrified out of her mind. The heavy weight of his unconscious body dragged her frail frame straight to the pavement.

Looking down at Parrish, his eyes squeezed shut and his face as white as a sheet, panic completely consumed her. She screamed frantically toward the showroom.

"Help! Someone help! Mr. York passed out! Call 911!"

...

Meanwhile, over an hour later.

Bonnie finally found the exact car she wanted in a different dealership.

A Jeep Wrangler, pure black, four-door Sahara.

Quentin stood with one hand casually in his pocket, staring at the rugged black off-roader. For a rare moment, he was speechless.

In his mind, Bonnie was a gentle, radiant woman.

He assumed she would pick something colorful—a cute, practical sedan meant for city cruising.

Instead, out of a sea of sleek sports cars and elegant sedans, she had made a beeline for this aggressively boxy, heavy-duty 4x4.

"Are you sure you want this one?"
