I Stopped Waiting and Started Loving novel Chapter 154

"What's with the yelling?"

The door to the hospital room suddenly opened from the inside.

A tall woman strode out.

She wore a high-quality ivory silk blouse paired with dark green high-waisted wide-leg trousers, her hair neatly pinned back.

She looked capable, elegant, and radiated a natural poise bred into high-society elites.

She just stood there, doing absolutely nothing, yet her aura was suffocatingly commanding.

The woman cast a cold glance over Bonnie, her brow slightly furrowed.

"Are you the Bonnie who provoked Mr. York into a relapse?"

Bonnie met her gaze, her spine completely straight. "It had nothing to do with me."

Dr. Xavier stared at her coldly, her tone devoid of any inflection. "Regardless of whatever past you share with Mr. York, he cannot endure any further agitation right now. Please leave."

Bonnie slowly balled her hands into fists at her sides, a suffocating wave of despair making her chest ache.

She stared at the tightly shut door before finally relaxing her hands. "I understand."

She didn't say another word, turning and striding away.

Seraphina only let out a breath of relief once Bonnie's figure disappeared into the elevator.

She immediately put on a flattering smile and offered up the insulated thermos she was carrying.

"Dr. Xavier, this is the lunch I prepared for Mr. York. It's yam soup I made myself."

Vivian took the thermos and casually opened it to take a look.

A second later, her eyes turned icy.

"You ordered takeout, poured it into a thermos, and dared to say you made it yourself? Do you think Mr. York is easy to fool, or do you think I'm blind?"

Seraphina's face instantly went pale. "I... Dr. Xavier, I didn't..."

Vivian couldn't be bothered to listen to her excuses, handing the thermos straight to the bodyguard standing nearby.

"Trash it."

Without a moment's hesitation, the bodyguard tossed it right into the nearest trash can.

"Follow me to the lounge."

Vivian dropped the command and turned to walk toward the end of the hallway.

Seraphina stared at her formidable back, secretly gritting her teeth.

She had thought that once she kicked Bonnie out of the picture, Parrish would eventually be hers.

But she never expected Parrish's fiancée to suddenly show up in Harlow City.
