Parrish suppressed the irritation welling in his chest and softened his tone slightly.
"Come with me. We need to talk."
"No."
Bonnie rejected him flatly. "Please have some self-awareness, Mr. York. Don't stand so close to me, or people might get the wrong idea."
By now, quite a few staff members and patients in the lobby were casting curious glances their way.
Seraphina's suspension had caused a massive uproar at The Pavilion yesterday, and everyone knew that Dr. Miller and Mr. York were intimately connected.
Now that Parrish had shown up first thing in the morning looking for Bonnie, rumors were bound to fly.
Hearing the faint whispers around her, Bonnie's expression darkened even further.
Parrish, however, was in no rush. He calmly pulled out his phone, his long fingers tapping the screen a few times.
Then, he slid the phone across the reception desk toward her.
"Take a look at this before you make your final decision."
Bonnie lowered her gaze. On the screen was a completed pharmaceutical purchase order.
The words on it made her pupils contract sharply.
Vitalis Heart Elixir, two thousand vials. Completely sold out.
The buyer's name clearly listed a pharmaceutical company owned by the York family.
It was the only rare medication that could ease her mother's agony and keep her alive during her attacks. Because of its scarcity, all of Harlow City's pharmacies and hospitals had extremely limited stock.
"What is the meaning of this?"
Bonnie snapped her head up, glaring coldly at Parrish, her voice trembling with sheer fury.
Parrish pulled his phone back. His expression was calm, but his eyes held the absolute certainty of a predator who had trapped its prey.
"Exactly what it looks like. Every single vial of this medication in Harlow City is now in my hands."
"Bonnie, are you sure you don't want to sit down and have a chat?"
He knew her too well. Jillian Hayes was her ultimate weakness.
Bonnie clenched her hands into tight fists at her sides, her nails digging into her palms.
"Parrish, you are absolutely shameless."
She ground the words out, her voice dripping with deep-seated hatred.
Parrish pressed his lips together, seemingly accustomed to her hostility by now.
"I'll give you ten minutes. Meet me at The Azure Roast across the street."
With that, he adjusted his cuffs and turned to walk out of the clinic.
Bonnie stood rooted to the spot, her chest heaving violently, her eyes burning red with fury.
She wanted nothing more than to lunge forward and rip off Parrish's hypocritical mask.
