Inside the coffee shop.
Vivian sat across from Bonnie.
Quentin sat right next to Bonnie, his large frame leaning back into the sofa, exuding a commanding, inescapable presence.
"Ms. Hayes, Mr. Vance, what would you like to drink?" Vivian asked with a perfectly natural smile.
"No, thank you. It's too late. Coffee will keep me up all night," Bonnie politely declined.
Vivian didn't push the issue. She turned to the waiter. "Three glasses of warm water, please. Thank you."
Once the waiter left, Vivian pulled a blue box out of her paper bag and gently slid it across the table to Bonnie.
"Five vials. Check and make sure they're right."
Bonnie eagerly grabbed the box and popped the lid open.
Inside sat five neatly arranged vials—the exact Vitalis Heart Elixir she desperately needed.
The heavy knot in her chest finally unraveled. She looked at Vivian with immense gratitude.
"Thank you so much, Ms. Xavier. I checked the market value, and these are going for a thousand dollars a vial right now. Let me transfer the money to you."
Vivian smiled gracefully, showing her generosity. "Alright, I won't say no to that."
Bonnie immediately pulled out her phone and wired five thousand dollars to Vivian.
After receiving the notification, Vivian tucked her phone away and leaned forward slightly, looking at Bonnie with an intrigued half-smile.
"I have to admit, I'm quite curious. What did you do to offend Mr. York so badly that he would use his family's entire pharmaceutical network to cut off this specific medication?"
Bonnie's fingers tightened around the box. Considering Vivian had just done her a massive favor and might even face backlash from Parrish for it, she decided to tell the truth.
Taking a deep breath, Bonnie laid it out clearly.
"There was a medical malpractice incident. He wanted me to take the fall for his true love. When I refused, he bought out my mother's life-saving medication to blackmail me."
At this point, Bonnie looked at Vivian with genuine concern.
"Ms. Xavier, won't selling me this medicine put you in a bad spot with him?"
