Quentin had no intention of keeping it a secret from Bonnie any longer.
She had been too young back then; her memories were likely entirely blurred.
But since they were legally married now, she had the right to know the truth.
Otherwise, she would keep treating her role as "Mrs. Vance" like nothing more than a corporate job.
Quentin picked up his phone, his long fingers swiping across the screen a few times.
He pulled up a photo and handed the phone to Bonnie.
"Take a look."
Bonnie took the phone, utterly bewildered.
The photo showed an incredibly beautiful woman. She was dressed in a simple yet elegant cheongsam, sitting quietly in a traditional wooden armchair. Her features were soft, her aura deeply refined.
But after staring at it for a while, Bonnie was still completely lost.
"Swipe right," Quentin instructed calmly.
Bonnie obediently swiped. Almost all the subsequent photos featured the same beautiful woman.
There were pictures of her eating quietly, arranging flowers, painting, and playing the piano...
Suddenly, Bonnie's finger stopped mid-swipe.
In this photo, the beautiful woman had her wrist resting on a traditional pulse pillow. The elderly man sitting across from her, carefully checking her pulse, looked overwhelmingly familiar.
Bonnie's eyes widened in sheer shock, and the word slipped out before she could stop it: "Grandpa Harrison?"
She snapped her head up, staring at Quentin in disbelief.
Quentin met her gaze, his expression perfectly calm.
"This is my mother."
Bonnie sucked in a sharp breath.
Certain memories flooded back into her mind like a tidal wave. Combining that with the stories Grandpa Harrison used to tell about the Legacy Betrothal, her heart began to hammer wildly against her ribs.
She looked at him in sheer disbelief. "You... you're the son of Harlow City's former wealthiest daughter?"
Quentin gave a faint smirk. "Over twenty years ago, my grandfather was indeed the wealthiest man in Harlow City."
