Bonnie turned toward the sound.
A short distance away, Seraphina stood near the garage elevator lobby.
She was wearing a white lace slip dress, her makeup utterly flawless, looking as though she had been waiting there for quite some time.
Now, Seraphina was marching straight toward her.
Her eyes were glued to the incredibly expensive designer gown Bonnie was wearing, then darted to the Rolls-Royce she had just stepped out of. The shock and jealousy in her eyes were completely impossible to hide.
"It really is you?" Seraphina's voice pitched up shrilly. "Bonnie, are you actually a kept woman now?"
Bonnie was utterly speechless.
She never imagined she would run into Seraphina down here.
And she certainly hadn't expected the woman to open her mouth and spew such disgusting garbage right off the bat.
Before Bonnie could even respond, an arm securely wrapped around her waist.
Quentin had stepped to her side without her noticing. His tall, imposing frame radiated overwhelming dominance as he looked down at Seraphina with absolute ice in his eyes.
"Since when does anyone have the right to question my wife?"
The man's voice was deep, commanding, and entirely devoid of warmth.
Bonnie snapped her head around, staring at Quentin in pure shock.
Hadn't they agreed to keep their contract marriage a secret from the public?
Even in the car, when they discussed using the Legacy Betrothal to mess with Parrish, Quentin had never said he was going to publicly announce they were legally married.
This sudden, unscripted declaration left Bonnie entirely stunned, her heart hammering wildly against her ribs.
On the other side, the moment Seraphina got a clear look at Quentin's face, she completely froze.
A flash of pure awe crossed her eyes, immediately followed by profound disbelief.
The man standing before her was breathtakingly handsome. His features were deep and perfectly sculpted, his jawline sharp enough to cut glass. Every movement he made oozed the elite, untouchable elegance of a man at the absolute top of the food chain.
That aloof, aggressively dominant aura made him dangerously unapproachable, yet completely impossible to look away from.
