A few minutes earlier, Quentin had been unable to locate Bonnie. When he tried calling her again, her phone was completely powered off.
In that instant, he knew she was in danger.
Radiating an intensely suffocating, murderous aura, he marched straight toward the hotel's security room.
Suddenly, a man with light blonde hair, wearing a loose t-shirt, swaggered toward him from the opposite direction.
It was Zachary Xavier, Vivian's brother.
"Quentin! It's been forever, man!"
Zachary's eyes lit up the moment he saw Quentin. He grinned broadly and opened his arms for a hug.
Quentin's brow was locked in a brutal scowl. With a gaze as cold as frost, he ruthlessly shoved Zachary's arms away.
Unfazed, Zachary simply lowered his hands and looked at him in total confusion.
"Why do you look like you're about to murder someone? Where are you going?"
Quentin stared at him, suddenly remembering Zachary's background in tech. His dark eyes narrowed.
"My wife is missing. Her phone is off. Can you track her last location?"
Zachary blinked in surprise before raising an eyebrow. "If it's off, I can't get a live ping. But I can pull her digital footprint within the hotel right before it went dark. Pair that with the security feeds, and it'll be a lot faster."
He turned back toward the elevators. "Follow me. My rig is in my room."
Quentin didn't hesitate. He took long strides and followed him.
Inside the elevator, Zachary hit the button for the penthouse floor and casually asked,
"What does your wife look like? What was she wearing before she vanished?"
An image of her figure immediately filled Quentin's mind, and his voice unconsciously softened.
"She's gorgeous. Round face, big eyes, very cute. Today she's wearing a champagne-colored gown."
"Cough! Cough, cough, cough!"
Zachary violently choked on his own spit, hacking until his entire face turned beet red.
He stared at Quentin with eyes completely blown wide in absolute horror.
"No way... Is your wife's name... Bonnie Hayes?"
Quentin instantly caught the terrifying implication. His gaze turned into lethal, frozen daggers.
