Seeing Bonnie in that outfit triggered an inexplicable sense of familiarity within him.
It felt as if he had seen her before, or perhaps some dormant instinct in his blood had suddenly awakened.
His mind instantly flashed back to that day at the hotel, when he caught a glimpse of the birthmark on her chest.
Zachary's brow furrowed tightly as he stared at Bonnie in a daze.
Vivian smoothly took a step forward, blocking Zachary's almost inappropriate stare.
"Bonnie, I didn't expect you to look so incredible in riding gear. You look absolutely stunning."
Bonnie offered a polite smile. "Thank you. It suits you better, Vivian. You look so fierce."
Before Vivian could respond, Quentin stepped up beside Bonnie, his face entirely devoid of emotion as he spoke coldly.
"I'm taking her to pick a horse. Go settle the bill."
The smile on Vivian's lips faltered for a second before returning. "Alright, you two go ahead. I'll head to the front desk."
She turned to the still-dazed Zachary. "Zac, want to come with me?"
Zachary's gaze remained fixed past her, lingering on Bonnie, as he absentmindedly waved his hand.
"You go ahead. I'm sticking with Quentin and Bonnie."
Vivian stood in silence for two seconds, said nothing more, and then smoothly mounted her horse, pulling the reins to ride off.
Bonnie and Quentin boarded an open-air golf cart heading toward the stables.
Zachary trailed behind them at a leisurely pace on his black thoroughbred.
Along the way, his gaze discreetly darted toward Bonnie, full of scrutiny.
Once they arrived at the stables, Bonnie quickly picked out a gentle little white horse.
When she led it outside to stand next to the massive stallions, Zachary immediately burst out laughing.
"Are you serious, Bonnie? You spent all that time just to pick out this tiny pony? This thing isn't even as tall as my horse's legs. You expect to race us on that? Are you here to ride, or walk a dog?"
Holding the reins, Bonnie forced a polite smile.
She just wanted to be safe. What was wrong with that?
Quentin shot Zachary a glacial look. "Who said she's racing you? She doesn't know how to ride. I'm teaching her."
Zachary's eyes immediately lit up, a thoroughly punchable grin spreading across his face.
"Oh, she doesn't know how? Well, isn't that just perfect!"
He nudged Quentin's shoulder and lowered his voice. "The opportunity is practically begging you. Don't say I never did anything for you."
