I Stopped Waiting and Started Loving novel Chapter 249

"Hold the reins, but don't grip them too tightly. Relax your body and follow the horse's rhythm."

Quentin stood beside her, one hand holding the horse's bridle while the other rested over her hand on the reins.

His deep voice echoed across the open pasture, sounding incredibly patient and gentle.

The little white horse was remarkably docile.

In less than half an hour, Bonnie was already guiding the horse on her own, moving at a slow trot across the grass.

Meanwhile, completely unnoticed by the group, a Maybach slowly pulled up to the estate's entrance.

The door opened, and Parrish York, dressed in a casual suit, stepped out of the driver's seat.

Seraphina Miller opened the passenger door and linked her arm through his, her voice slightly whining.

"Parrish, the apprenticeship banquet is tomorrow. Weren't we supposed to go over the itinerary with Gideon tonight? Why did you drag me all the way out here?"

Parrish kept his gaze fixed on the distant riding track, his expression unreadable. "Just brought you out to relax."

Of course, he hadn't brought Seraphina here for fun.

He had heard rumors in their social circles that Quentin was bringing his wife here today.

He was desperate to uncover the true identity of Quentin's mysterious wife.

Plus, he wanted to use this opportunity to smooth things over with Quentin.

"Let's go take a look."

Parrish led Seraphina toward the riding grounds.

...

On the other side of the property, over an hour had passed.

Zachary was casually trotting back from a distant hill on his horse.

As soon as he reached the grass, he spotted the two horses, one large and one small, galloping closely together.

Bonnie rode the white pony in front, not moving particularly fast, but she looked far steadier than before.

Quentin, on his towering black horse, trailed just behind her. His gaze remained firmly locked on her, looking as though he was ready to dash forward and catch her at any second.

Watching the scene, Zachary couldn't help but click his tongue.

"The guy... is actually falling for her."

He had thought Quentin was just having some fun and would get bored of her eventually.

But having known Quentin for years, since when had the man ever been this patient with anyone?

Vivian rode up beside him seemingly out of nowhere, her tone impassive.

"Zac, are you trying to play matchmaker for them?"
