I Stopped Waiting and Started Loving novel Chapter 95

Once enough time had passed, Bonnie finally walked over to the study and knocked lightly.

"Mr. Vance, it's time for bed."

A few seconds later, the door swung open.

Quentin stood there expressionless, holding out two folders toward her.

"Deliver these to the office."

Bonnie blinked in surprise.

While she had been chatting with Jasper earlier, she had casually asked where Vance Global was located.

It wasn't exactly close to Riverstone Heights. It was at least a ten-minute drive.

It was already 10:30 PM. At this hour, the public transit in Harlow City had completely shut down.

She blinked and asked cautiously, "Should I call Jasper to come pick them up...?"

"Does he sign your paychecks, or do I?"

Quentin's voice plummeted to sub-zero, heavy with extreme displeasure. "Did I tell you to call him?!"

Bonnie pressed her lips together, a flare of anger igniting in her chest.

What the hell was wrong with this man tonight? He was acting like a landmine, blowing up at everyone who stepped near him.

She took a deep breath, forced her temper down, and reached for the files.

"Fine. I'll call a cab."

"A cab?"

Quentin scoffed, pulling the folders back just out of her reach.

"Everything that crosses my desk is highly classified. Can you guarantee these won't be damaged or stolen if you take them in a random cab?"

Bonnie was completely speechless, her frustration boiling over.

"Then what do you expect me to do? Run all the way there on foot?"

She pointed at the pitch-black night outside the window, her voice edging with irritation.

"It's almost eleven! Walking there and back will take me an hour."

Quentin didn't say a word. He just gave her a long, incredibly complicated up-and-down look.

After a long pause, his lips parted. "Do you know how to drive?"
