Sarah's back stiffened. Her entire posture shifted into defensive mode. She averted her gaze, refusing to look at Luke or answer his question, and simply turned to walk away.

"Sarah." Luke took two quick strides, catching up and stepping squarely in her path to block her.

"Sarah, I have no intention of prying into your privacy, but this is about Sophie's safety. I need to find her as soon as possible."

Sarah stopped again, glaring sharply at him. "Just because of a few photos? Is she out of her mind?"

"She misunderstood..." Luke struggled to find the right words. "She thinks Harold has feelings for Sophie."

Sarah stared at Luke as if he were a raving lunatic spouting absolute nonsense.

"There are definitely some misunderstandings, but she refuses to listen, and she won't even answer my calls. Sarah, she has an extreme personality; she really might do something to hurt Sophie."

Sarah looked at the man standing before her and shook her head. "No, you cannot go. Gavin's parents are in town, and Sophie is with them. I will call her. Now, leave."

Luke didn't move an inch. He kept his pleading gaze locked on Sarah, waiting for her to dial Sophie's number.

Sarah shot him a cold look. When the call connected, she spoke urgently, "Sophie, Eileen is in town. Please be careful."

"Mom, I know... You don't need to come over tonight..." Sophie's voice was barely a whisper. Before she could finish her sentence, a shrill, piercing woman's voice tore through the line. "Don't even think about sneaking away!"

Immediately after, a burst of static exploded from the receiver, followed by a loud smack, and the line went dead.

Sarah's face drained of color in an instant. She looked up at Luke.

"What happened? Did... did Eileen find Sophie?" Luke demanded.

Sarah nodded.

"Sarah, let's go there right now. I'll get Eileen out of there."

After lunch, Gavin's parents and grandmother rested briefly before freshening up, changing their clothes, and preparing to head to Saint Jude's Monastery together to fulfill the vow.

Sophie and Gavin were waiting in the lobby lounge. The two were laughing softly when Eileen suddenly materialized right in front of them.
