I was his allergen she was his cure what if this allergen turns lethal? novel Chapter 35

Chapter 7

“I promised to marry you all those years ago,” he said.

“Sienna, I’ve made my will. After I’m gone, everything I own goes to you and Julian.”

I should have run, but I said yes.

Not out of love, but for Julian’s future.

I wanted my son to look people in the eye with confidence, stand tall, and tell everyone:

He wasn’t a bastard. He just had a wealthy father who died.

A week later, Nash and I had a simple wedding.

His parents watched from the audience as their once-vibrant son, now pale as a ghost, exchanged vows with me.

They cried silently, clutching Julian’s hand tightly as if my son was their only remaining hope.

Though married, we had no physical relationship. Partly because he was too ill, but mostly because the thought disgusted me.

Yet I began acting tenderly toward Nash, just like my eighteen-year-old self would have.

Whenever pain drove him to bash his head against the wall, I would gently stop him, hold him close and whisper, “Nash, you can’t die! What

would Julian and I do without you? You have to keep fighting.”

After six months, Nash finally believed I’d forgiven him.

He thought he could die peacefully now, having earned my forgiveness and enjoying some final happiness.

My consistent encouragement worked.

He endured multiple failed heart transplant attempts, forcing himself to eat despite the agony through sheer willpower.

Then suddenly, the specialized international medical team his family had assembled brought unexpected news-he might actually recover.

Before I could process this terrible development, worse news followed-my mother woke up… and learned I had married Nash.

I rushed to the hospital after receiving their call.

After nine years, I saw my mother’s clear eyes for the first time.

I expected her to berate me when she learned I’d married Nash.

Instead, she gently traced the scar on my forehead with fingers that hadn’t moved in years.

“Sienna, I’ve failed you all this time. Please… just pursue whatever happiness you want.”

“I don’t blame you, only myself… for being a burden to you for so many years.”

“I know all the suffering you’ve endured… I know everything…”

Faced with my mother’s heartbreaking words, I could only apologize:

Chapter 7

“Mom, I’m sorry… I’m so sorry…”

My sobbing grew increasingly desperate until doctors came to insist the patient needed rest.

Don’t worry, Mom.

Nash Reed won’t find happiness.

My hatred for Nash never ceased for a moment.

Especially after my mother awoke-the pretense of moving past old wounds was ripped away completely.

So when Nash, fighting against his failing body, excitedly told me they’d found a perfectly matching heart and that he could live a long life with Julian and me…

I yanked my hand from his grip with a cold laugh, wiping my skin as if his touch contaminated me.

Leaning close to his ear, I smiled as I delivered the most vicious curse:

“Nash Reed, you don’t actually think you deserve happiness, do you?”

“Rest assured, after you die, I’ll immediately remarry with your money and let Julian call someone else ‘Daddy”.

“I’ll pray for you daily-pray that you continue suffering in hell, pray you never reincarnate, pray we never meet again in any lifetime!”

Nash’s hand froze midair. “Sienna, you…”

I smiled, touching his lips. “Actually, I could have behaved differently, but…”

“But what? Tell me!”

“I want you dead.”

Nash’s body went rigid.

Shock spread across his face first. Then his expression transformed into one of unspeakable, soul-crushing agony.

He tried to grab me, but I recoiled in disgust.

After nearly a year of pretending, I finally pushed him back into the abyss just when he’d found hope.

Nash coughed blood violently, his lips trembling as tears streamed down his face.

That night, while watching cartoons with Julian, I received a call from Nash.

“Sienna, please don’t hang up. I only have one question.”

“Did you ever love me? At all?”

Without hesitation, I answered:

“No.”

Then I hung up.

I had lied. But the past… the past was too cold. I never wanted to return there.
