I was his allergen she was his cure what if this allergen turns lethal? novel Chapter 57

Chapter 1

When my husband’s first love found out I was pregnant, she deliberately set a fire to our house, trying to burn me to death.

Instead of crying out for help, I calmly helped Marie, my mother-in-law, struggling to survive the flames.

In my previous life, I had screamed and pleaded desperately within the flames. My husband arrived with rescuers and saved both me and Marie

first.

But his first love-realizing she hadn’t been his priority for rescue-charged back into the fire and ultimately died from severe burns.

After her death, my husband showered me with endless affection to comfort my terrified heart.

That woman’s name never passed his lips again.

Yet, after our child was born, my husband took her first love’s memorial tablet and smashed our baby to death!

“It’s all your fault! You took the love of my life from me! GO TO HELL AND BURN FOR YOUR SINS!!”

Then excruciating pain exploded at the back of my skull – everything went dark.

When I opened my eyes again, I was back in the middle of the raging fire…

“Eleanor, hold on! I’ll get you out of here!”

My mother-in-law, Marie’s familiar voice jolted me awake, and just as I opened my eyes, the scorched, misshapen wooden door crashed down right past my face.

I immediately dragged her back into the bedroom.

“Mom, Whatever you do, don’t open the window! It’ll only make the fire spread faster.”

I scanned the room, grabbed bottled water from my nightstand, and used it to soak a blanket before handing it to Marie, motioning for her to

cover her mouth and nose.

Sirens blared from downstairs, and Marie’s face lit up with hope.

“Don’t worried, Eleanor, Alexander’s here with help. We’re going to be fine.”

Seeing her excited expression, I lowered my eyes and remained silent.

I had no idea how to tell this kind old lady that her son would murder her precious baby granddaughter for the sake of his first love.

The fire continued to rage, the room heat intensifying.

Thick smoke began seeping through the door cracks, forcing us away from the only exit.

Suddenly, Alexander’s voice sounded from outside the door.

“Abigail! Abigail, are you in there?”

“Don’t be afraid, I’ve got you now!”

With a loud crash, the door was forcibly broken down.

Chapter 1

But the footsteps had faded no trace of Alexander remained.

A burning, deformed wardrobe crashed down, blocking our only escape route.

With trembling hands, I poured the last of the water onto a towel and handed it to Marie.

She looked at me, her old eyes filled with tears. Just as she was about to say something, sirens blared from downstairs once again.

I knew that the rescue team had left.

The fire grew fiercer and fiercer, and despair washed over me-I knew we probably wouldn’t make it out this time.

Marie coughed a few more times on my back before falling silent.

The flames crept closer, already scorching the hem of my clothes.

Just when I thought it was over, a voice suddenly shouted from outside:

“Eleanor! The security guard said he didn’t see you leave. Are you still in there?”

I couldn’t hold back my tears anymore and immediately cried out in response.

Soon, a figure rushed in with a fire extinguisher. I couldn’t hold on any longer and collapsed to the ground.

When I opened my eyes again, Marie and I had been safely brought down to the courtyard.

The person who saved us was Alexander’s colleague, Benjamin.
