“Well, well, Ms. Snow. You’ve been at the company less than half a day and already want to call a meeting with us? What pearls of wisdom do you have for us?”

Warren Crag was nearly 60 years old. He leaned back in his chair and turned to the side, as if he couldn’t even be bothered to face Demi directly.

The other directors watched Demi like she was entertainment. In their eyes, she was just a spoiled rich girl whose father happened to be the chairman.

“Mr. Crag, you flatter me. I wouldn’t dare presume to teach you anything. But if certain people insist on pulling rank, then as the younger generation, I should say what needs to be said.”

Demi’s expression remained unchanged. She looked pleasant and easy to push around.

Yet her words were subtle jabs that made Warren’s face and the others’ stiffen.

Things weren’t going as they’d expected. Faced with their collective hostility, Demi remained composed. She clearly didn’t take them seriously at all.

Their earlier trash talk had been deliberately staged for Demi to overhear.

Demi walked toward the head of the conference table with her folders, calmly observing

everyone.

She’d memorized all the directors’ files. Some loved causing trouble, some kept their heads down and did real work.

As Demi’s gaze swept over them, some directors looked at her with contempt, some showed faint appreciation, and others remained expressionless.

“Alright, everyone, please put your phones on silent.”

As Demi finished speaking, Warren, who sat at the front, let out a derisive laugh.

Demi frowned and looked at him.

He said, “Ms. Snow, why don’t you go get your father?

“You want to run a meeting with us?

“Ha! That’s hilarious!”

Warren laughed, and several other directors chimed in, as if Demi had just told the funniest joke.

After Warren and the others had laughed enough, she smiled. “Keep laughing. Are you done yet?”

Scanning the room with an icy gaze, Demi selected several folders.

“I have a little welcome gift here. I imagine Mr. Crag and the rest of you will find it even more amusing.”

Demi handed the first folder to someone nearby. Lewis Cox, the secretary who’d been working under Roderick, took it and distributed copies first to those who’d been mocking Demi along with Warren.

“Tch.”

The few directors paid it no mind and accepted the folders dismissively.

After opening them, their faces changed dramatically.

“This… This…”

“Ms. Snow, this is a misunderstanding.”

“I… These are…”

They looked at Demi in alarm.

Under her gaze, their faces gradually paled. Within moments, fine beads of sweat appeared on their foreheads.

“I appreciate everything you all have contributed to the company. However…”

Demi deliberately paused. Though she was clearly the smallest and most delicate-looking person in the massive conference room, her presence now intimidated them so much they couldn’t meet her eyes.

“Lewis will follow up with you about the details. Right now, go to HR and submit your resignations.”

Demi’s words were shocking. The directors who’d received folders looked reluctant. They glanced at Warren, preparing to ask for his help, only to see Lewis handing him a folder as well.

Great. Warren probably couldn’t save himself either.
