“Ugh, here’s the thing. That Blackwell brat managed to get his hands on two invitations for the party. If you want, I can find a way to block him at the door.”

Roderick had ordered people to keep a close eye on Nevin’s movements.

It wasn’t surprising that Nevin got the invitations. It would be surprising if he didn’t.

“No need. Let him come.”

Once the countdown ended, she didn’t care whether her identity was exposed. What mattered to her more was that the divorce between her and Nevin was already set in stone.

She just didn’t expect it to happen so soon.

Night fell and the city lit up with neon lights.

A five-star hotel, fully booked by the Snows, had a red carpet stretching from the entrance all the way to the street.

Luxury cars arrived one after another, carrying local entrepreneurs and business giants.

Standing on the second floor, Demi looked out through the window, watching the cars line up by the road outside the hotel. Everyone who came was either wealthy or influential.

She felt a little lost in thought.

After seven

seven years,

Nevin came alone.

she had finally returned to the place she originally belonged.

After being rejected twice when he tried to meet Roderick, he had to ask in person why Snow Group refused to cooperate with Blackwell Group.

“I heard this event is for the future heir of Snow Group?”

“That’s right, Mr. Snow did mention it privately.”

“I remember Mr. Snow only has one daughter?”

“He does. What’s wrong? Can’t a daughter be the heir?”

The man went silent for a moment. “That’s not what I meant. I’m just saying, there wasn’t a single rumor about this. Why did Mr. Snow suddenly decide to hand things over?”

Nevin listened nearby with a slight curiosity showing on his face.

Could the reason Snow Group refused to cooperate with them have something to do with Ms. Snow?

At that moment, he still didn’t associate Demi with Snow Group.

It looked like he would have to meet this young heiress and get familiar with her.

Meanwhile, Rhea arrived with her invitation in hand. She had rent her evening dress and it was expensive.

Rhea swept her eyes across the hall greedily. Every person here was either wealthy or of influential status. Meeting even one of them would be a huge gain.

She looked around and immediately spotted Nevin.

“Mr. Blackwell.” Rhea smiled lightly as she walked over to greet him.

Nevin frowned slightly. “Why are you here?”

“Snow Group refused to work with us before. I heard that their heir is returning and that there might be some misunderstanding. I thought I’d come to check, so I asked someone to get me an invitation.

“Mr. Blackwell, I acted on my own.” Rhea paled slightly.

Nevin didn’t say more.

Most of the guests had arrived. The staircase leading to the second floor lit up with special lighting.

Roderick appeared at the top of the stairs. “Thank you all for coming to the our event. Tonight isn’t about anything else. We just want to introduce our daughter and let everyone get familiar. I hope you can guide her in the future.”

Clap, clap!

Thunderous applause filled the hall. Under the bright lights, everyone looked curiously toward the staircase.
