Demi let out a quiet sigh of relief, pushed down the nausea in her stomach, and glanced at the mess on the floor. She called the front desk to send cleaners to tidy up.

“Mom, I’m not tired, I just wish there were more hours in the day!” Demi hugged her. “And you don’t have to wait up for me anymore. Go to bed early. I can take care of myself.”
