“Ms. Snow, the fetus is developing well, but you should avoid sex for the first three months…”
The prenatal exam report came out, and Demi hadn’t expected she’d be able to keep it from Nevin.

She had barely received the exam report when she got a call from Carol.
“Demi, get home right now!”
Before Demi could ask what was going on, Carol had already hung up.
Thinking something serious had happened, Demi rushed home.
Inside the house, she found Roderick and Carol sitting there, both looking serious as they waited for her.

Roderick opened his mouth but couldn’t bring himself to say anything harsh.
Raising a child as a single mom would be tough, but Demi still had them.
And with the Snows’ resources, they could support as many kids as she wanted.
He was just angry that Demi had kept it from them.

With that, Demi called home to say she wouldn’t need dinner that night.
As night fell, Demi drove into the Blackwell Villa, with its understated, classic gardens.
