Nevin pulled out a chair and sat down, and a server changed Demi’s hot sauce to a milder one.

Nevin didn’t expect this reaction. By the time he realize. Demi was already getting into the car outside.
He watched her leave, thinking he was only trying to help.
Demi could not eat too much spice anyway, so why was the here eating the hottest hot sauce available?
“Mom, I’m coming home for dinner. Please ask Anne to make something spicy. Maybe some spicy ribs.”
On the way home. Demi called Carol to put in her request for dinner.
Back at the office, Nevin’s ‘pesterings kept coming.
I can get something spicy. Then, I’ll pick you up, and we can have dinner together.”
Is the fruit from this morning still fresh?”
“What else do you want to eat? Don’t starve yourself or the baby.”
Demi felt annoyed, tempted to block him.
While Lewis stepped out, various desserts appeared on her desk.
The swan-shaped cake looked almost like art, fragrant and sweet,
Her stomach growled, and she couldn’t resist a piece.
The rich cream flavor melted in her mouth immediately.
Lewis returned with more desserts, only to find several plates empty.
“What are these?” he asked.
Knowing Demi liked them and who had sent them, Lewis even washed a tray of fresh fruit and placed it within her reach.
The cherries, still beaded with water, looked especially tempting, but Demi didn’t even look at them because Nevin was the one who sent them.
Just thinking about it made her lose her appetite.

Chapter 72 Gad Led
for several days, whenever Demi suddenly craved a snack, she would inevitably run into Nevin.
She even started wondering if he had secretly put a GPS on her.
Every fruit or dessert he sent hit her cravings exactly.
After Demi once again refused to have dinner with him. Nevin returned to the villa to be with Orion.
Busy delivering food to Demi, he had somewhat neglected Orion.
“Dad, it’s been so long. Did you bring Mom back?”
Back at the villa, Orion first got a little excited, then disappointedly asked about Demi.
He wanted to accuse his dad of lying. Dad said Mom would come home, yet he couldn’t even see her.
Nevin’s usual resolve faltered in his eyes. Demi had made up her mind to leave him.
Despite Nevin trying to reach out to her morning, noon and night, Demi remained indifferent.
Without getting a clear promise from Nevin. Orion pofed, feeling so down he wanted to cry.
Sure enough. Dad had lied.
