Chapter 53

The project summit was packed. The entrance swarmed with reporters, cameras flashing.

Inside, staff led my parents and Serena to a corner. All three wore confident smiles. They thought Aaroc had brought them ham project as an apology.

Serena smoothed her skirt, chin raised proudly. She whispered to my father, “See? Aaron wouldn’t dare mess with us over LouGH HOT! project.”

My father nodded, full of anticipation. They truly believed this was their victory. They were walking right into Joshua’s trap

Nearby, Aaron stood outside with a grim face. After being thrown out yesterday, he’d spent all night trying to reach me, but Joshua’s secur too tight. This summit was his only chance. As an organizer, Joshua would be here. So would !.

Aaron clenched his fists. He’d take me away today, no matter what. He took a deep breath, straightened his suit, and pushed open the heary doors.

The moment he stepped in, dozens of cameras turned toward him. The game began.

The host walked on stage, holding the cooperation agreement. His voice boomed through the microphone. “After the jury’s final decision, the partner for this key project is… the Elliott Corporation!”

The audience erupted. Camera flashes lit up the room, focusing on Joshua. He stood slowly, steady and calm, adjusting his suit cuffs with

practiced grace.

In contrast, my parents and Serena sat frozen, eyes wide in disbelief. Aaron, standing off to the side, looked stunned, his documents crumpled in

his tight grip. He’d spent so much effort, only to watch it slip away.

Joshua didn’t rush to claim victory. Instead, his gaze shifted to me, standing quietly in the shadows. He walked over, took my hand, and guided me toward the stage. The spotlight followed.

Once beside him, Joshua leaned toward the microphone. “I’m honored to receive this project. But the truth is, none of this would be possible without Louisa. She provided crucial information.”

Then, with a soft smile, he wrapped an arm around my shoulders. “That’s why I’ve decided to let Louisa take full responsibility. All profits will go to her. She’s the one who truly deserves this.”

For a moment, silence. Then thunderous applause. Cameras clicked wildly. Under the blazing spotlight, I looked down at the stunned crowd. Aaron’s face was twisted with rage, his furious eyes locked on Joshua’s hand holding mine. Nearby, my parents stood utterly stunned. The truth hit them: I was alive. Their eyes showed anger, but then they realized something. If /controlled the project and its profits, the Harvey Family could

still benefit.

Their faces shifted instantly. They forced smiles and rushed to the stage, voices overly sweet. “Louisa! Joshua! We knew you wouldn’t abandon
