However, Felix waited for a long time, only to hear Amelia say lightly, "Dad, I am a bit tired. Can we talk about this another day?"
The implication was already obvious. She was still unwilling to talk about Ryan.
Felix let out a soft breath.
Being able to talk about it meant it was truly in the past.
Amelia had clearly not moved on from Ryan's death.
But it did not matter. He had time to wait.
"Uncle Anthony," Felix called out as he strode over with his long legs.
Anthony and Amelia turned around together. The sunlight was beautiful today. Felix had changed into casual attire, and the black coat made his handsome face look even more striking.
He first greeted Anthony before letting his gaze fall on Amelia.
"I picked up some pastries for you on the way here."
Anthony certainly understood his intentions, and he also hoped his precious daughter would interact more with new people.
"I am a bit tired, so I will skip the pastries. I am going back to my room to lie down for a while. I still have another round of checkups this afternoon," Amelia said. "Dad, I will walk you back."
"No need. It is rare for you to come out for a walk. Get some more sun and breathe some fresh air." Anthony looked at Felix. "Mr. Baker, I leave Amelia in your care."
After speaking, Anthony turned and walked toward the inpatient building. The caregiver, who had been waiting nearby, immediately came forward to assist him.
Amelia watched her father's figure disappear around the corner before she started walking forward slowly. Felix kept his hands behind his back, matching his long strides to follow her at a leisurely pace.
The sunlight stretched their shadows, making them look like an intimate couple.
Felix watched in silence for a few seconds and then curled his lips into a smile.
"What are you smiling about?" Amelia asked.
Felix did not feel the awkwardness of being caught. Instead, he raised an eyebrow and took the initiative. "What? Are you interested in me now?"
Amelia was a bit speechless. "I did not ask that."
Felix handed her a pastry. "Try it."
Amelia was just about to refuse when she heard Felix's next words. "Ruby loves eating this at home. She specifically asked me to bring some for you to try. She said you would like it."
