Karma Doesn’t Sleep The Revenge Queen Rises novel Chapter 759

"Alright. Take care of your own matters first. You do not need to worry about me." Anthony looked at his daughter affectionately, his eyes full of tender heartache.

"Ms. Sadinton." The guard walked in and saluted. "The car is waiting downstairs. We can leave at any time."

"Okay, thank you."

Amelia picked up her packed duffel bag and was about to head out.

"Amelia, wait a moment," Anthony called out to her. He stood up unsteadily and walked over, adjusting her collar and wrapping her scarf twice around her neck, tying it carefully. "It is cold outside. Do not let the wind get to your neck."

Watching her father's clumsy but earnest movements, Amelia's nose tingled, and she nearly shed a tear.

"Dad, you must take good care of your health too. When the doctor says you can be discharged, I will bring you home, and our family will never be apart again."

"Alright," Anthony agreed with a smile, patting his daughter's hand.

Looking past Amelia, he saw the image of his past lover.

As soon as Amelia walked out of the hospital, she saw a familiar white Bentley parked at the entrance.

Clive leaned against the car door, wearing a dark gray coat over a navy scarf, looking sharp and immaculate. A few cigarette butts lay on the ground in front of him, clearly indicating he had been waiting for a while.

Amelia knew he was there for her. She frowned slightly, not really wanting to engage with him.

"Let us get in the car."

"Amelia!" Clive strode forward to meet her. His eyes landed on her, unable to hide his heartache. "I sent some supplements, fresh fruits, and imported Wagyu beef to the Sadinton family home. Donna should have received them by now."

Amelia furrowed her brow. "I do not need you to do these things for me, and it is not like I cannot afford them. Take them back, or else I will throw them away."

Clive was not surprised by her reaction. He feigned a troubled look. "I cannot make that call."

Amelia was genuinely getting annoyed. "You..."

Clive said unhurriedly, "Because everything was picked out for you by Penny using her Christmas money."

After he finished speaking, he turned and opened the back door of the car.

Penny had fallen asleep waiting in the car. Waking up groggily, her eyes lit up immediately when she saw Amelia.

"Mommy!" She bounced out of the car joyfully and threw herself straight into Amelia's arms.

She was wearing a pink puffer jacket today, with her hair styled in two little buns, looking as cute as a porcelain doll.

Amelia's heart softened at once.

Clive sighed in feigned distress. "Penny, Mommy said she wants to throw away all the things you gave her..."

He was cut off by a glare from Amelia before he could finish his sentence.

Clive thoroughly enjoyed the reaction. He smartly shut his mouth, but the corners of his lips simply would not come down.
