“Simon, I can explain…” 

However, Luna was panicking so much that she was incoherent. She bit down on her bottom lip. Then, as usual, she tugged on Simon’s shirt to put on a cute show. But this time, Simon tugged his shirt back, and she gulped. “I don’t know what’s going on 

with all that either…” 

Simon said nothing and kept glaring at her intimidatingly. She dared not meet his gaze, and her body trembled from fear. She had been with Simon for a year, and he knew all of the meanings behind her actions. 

Besides, the proof was right before his eyes. No matter what she said, Simon was not going to listen to her. He had just come here to torture her. 

“Did I give you so many things that you forgot your place? I told you that Bertha’s the most important person to me and if you 

bothered her, you’d die.” 

Luna was too afraid to even breathe, and she nervously looked away. Of course she knew that Bertha was the most important 

person to Simon, but she still wanted to take a risk. After all, she was pregnant with his baby. 

“I know… But Simon, I love you too much, and it clouded my judgment…” 

Simon smiled, but there was a dangerous glint in his eyes. He leaned down and grabbed Luna’s chin to force her to look at him. 

“I don’t think your judgment was clouded. I’d say that you never had a single brain cell to begin with. Before I went back home that day, I warned you, yet you still sent a message to Bertha?” 

He gripped her chin so tightly that her skin turned red. It hurt Luna so much that she teared up, and she found Simon to be incredibly scary, just like a demon that had crawled out of hell. She knew just how crazy he could be, so her mind worked 

overtime to form words on her tongue. 

“I–I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have approached Bertha, but I just love you and the baby too much. I don’t want the baby to be born without a proper family and a father. I’m just a pitiful mother. Can’t you forgive me?” 

As she spoke, her tears fell. Her slightly creased brow gave her a delicate air, and she truly looked lovely. But her pitiful act was no 

longer effective on Simon. After he received confirmation from her, his glare turned even more vicious. He released her chin and 

“Forgive you? Hmph.” 

He suddenly grabbed Luna’s throat and wanted dearly to kill her at that moment. If she had not run her mouth off to Bertha, 

Bertha would not have left without a word and died in a car crash. 

Luna gasped for air and hugged Simon’s legs. “I’m really sorry, Simon. Since I’ve been with you for a year and I have your baby, won’t you forgive me? I’m really scared of you when you’re like this…” 

She never wanted Bertha to die. She only wanted to drive her away from Simon 

However, Simon did not even look at her. 

She had only been with him for a year. How could she compare to Bertha, who had been with him through thick and thin for so many years? 

With a stony face, he took his phone out and called his secretary. 

“Get an appointment at City Hospital for an abortion tomorrow.” 

When Luna heard that Simon wanted her to get an abortion, she looked at him in disbelief, only to see his chilly gaze. She never 

expected him to be so ruthless. But as the memories of their tender moments rose to the forefront of her mind, she gritted her 

teeth and decided to fight for herself one more time.
